I get a call today from the hiring manager of a hospital that I applied for a per diem position with. Turns out they made the per diem into a full time one with benefits!!!! And .... they asked me if I could come tomorrow morning to interview!

I'm trying not to be too excited:banana:  , but I've been out of work with no success for over 11 months now. We really need this to come along and to work out. I feel like I've been given another chance out of the blue - like maybe this was supposed to happen.

Please keep me in your thoughts. You guys have been so great to me this year and it has meant the world to me. I just had to share. Thanks for the pixie dust in advance!!!!!

Good Luck! Enjoy the new job for which I'm certain you will be hired!

Thanks guys - I work in Nuclear Medicine and it's a very tight field right now. The only jobs that have come open in Los Angeles this year are due to a death, a retirement, and people moving away.... Even the registry agencies don't have work for us.

I'll get to join the ranks of those who listen to the podcast while commuting over the hill into Hollywood, if I get this!

Best of luck to you Nancy. Smile, relax, and be yourself and I'm sure you will do fine. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

good luck it took my sister 5 months to find a job and she is a nurse. I hope you get it!!!!

I just got back and was really happy with how it went. I met with all 3 hiring managers (including the department director and the immediate lead). They gave me a whole tour and felt that I would be a good fit. They did tell me that had 2 more candidates still to interview this weekend and that they would call me on Monday.

Whoever said cover letters aren't read these days was dead wrong. One of the things the director said stood out was the following sentence off my cover letter:

"On top of everything I have to offer, I also come with the addition of a little “Pixie Dust”. My 3.5 years of experience of working with The Disney Stores influenced me greatly in the areas of Guest Services training, Integrity, and Synergy – lessons that stayed with me throughout the breadth of my career."

Apparently, the hospital has a huge directive to advance its ratings in patient satisfaction and they were looking for a new hire that would be able to meet that directive. The words Pixie Dust caught their attention!!!!!!!

WTG Nancy! :cool1: I'm glad the interview went well, and I hope you get a good call on Monday! Keeping my fingers crossed.

Here's more "Pixie Dust"! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:
