Cut my hand about a week ago and it now looks like an infection has set in. We leave for Disney in 4 weeks. I am sure it will be fine by then, but it sure is sore now. It is red, hot to touch, and hurts when you touch it. I cut it on a tree branch, so it could have gotten some dirt in there. I cleaned it good, but I guess not good enough. Just waiting for my friend to get here so we can leave.:sad2:

What is it Pete says about nature?

I hope all goes well and you get well soon.

Well it was infected. Now on antibiotics, and got a tetanus shot. Glad I went in before it got to bad. So if you are out doing lawn work, if you get a scratch or cut, watch it.

Deja vu.

I cut myself Easter weekend with a broken dish. The bleeding wouldn't stop, so I ended up at urgent care on Easter morning for stitches, a tetanus shot and antibiotics. No infection luckilly.

Glad you are mending and will be fine in plenty of time for your trip.

Yes, I join the ranks of yardwork mishaps, cut my arm last week on a rusty tomatoe cage. I'm up to date on tentanus and have been watching it...all looks good so far.

they said I was one of many that have come in with injuries or cuts from yard work this year. I think everyone got a head start because our weather was so warm early. The guy that was cutting the branches fell of the ladder when a branch came back at him and hit the ladder. He was okay, but broke the saw. So everyone, be careful.

Hope you heal up quickly!

Seems to be a rash of accidents and such this spring - in my house we have already had a broken arm, a nail in the bottom of a foot and a sliced finger that took 6 stitches, with a tetanus shot required for both the foot and the finger injuries! That is on top of a nasty cold/flu, the stomach flu and shoulder surgery I am still recovering from.

Stay well and healthy everyone! And keep all appendages attached! ;)
:goodvibes
