So i can see the maiden voyage new dates on my portal. However, i can't modify staterooms, check dining, or add ground transfers. It keeps giving me an error message.
It’s not re-opening at this time and was stated as such.Anybody have luck getting on the maiden from those who had to cancel with the new date?
You were able to snag maiden voyage rooms? or a different date with the 3 day hold?I was finally able to snag two rooms for my group a few minutes ago on line using the 3 day hold. This will be pending them finding my reservations for the ones they cancelled. The prices ended up being about $15 higher and had to move to the aft end of the ship same deck.
So the mystery of whether I go or not gets kicked down the road to Friday. Hoping to speak to a reservation specialist before Friday and get the missing money I paid resolved. Also they lost my wife's Castaway membership Number but had her Passport number on file--- strange!
Fixing these problems one step at a time.
Maybe your getting an upgrade??I cant see anything.. I have the confirmation email from Disney that they moved us to the new dates, but its a little worrisome not being able to see it online at all.
Would anyone know if they are cancelling other cruises? I had a September 5, 2022 Wish sailing and cannot find it.I cant see anything.. I have the confirmation email from Disney that they moved us to the new dates, but its a little worrisome not being able to see it online at all.
No, I'm not that special. I had to snag a future cruise date. You were able to snag maiden voyage rooms? or a different date with the 3 day hold?
I've been on hold with DVC member services for 1:36... Update: took 3 hours but I am pretty happy that I was able to move from a 4B on the member cruise to a 3A on the NYE (12/30) for about the same cash/points.
How does the 50% discount work with a reservation made with DVC points? Can you make a reservation for 50% of what the point chart says?
Maybe your getting an upgrade??
Update-
Finally got through to an agent. Everything fixed! My prior payments applied and 50% discount applied to balance due. No more 3 day hold as they applied equal payments to my required deposits.
My wait time was 164 minutes but the agent was really nice and took care of everything.
I had most of those questions answered and resolved with the unfortunate need to make the phone call. The agent explained that their accounting people set it up this way.(Sorry in advance if this is a dumb question) We were booked on one of the effected cruises and were able to re-book for the July 22 cruise. I have a question about the Future Cruise Credit AND the 50% off the next cruise.
Currently our balance shows the full price of the cruise about 4200. We have about 2100 in FCC. If I apply all of that plus the deposit I put down, It will be over the price of the 50% off cruise. Two questions:
1) What happens to the balance is that Ship board credit or is it refunded?
2) Is there any advantage or disadvantage to applying the FCC before the 50% hits the payment page?
We booked that exact same cruise! We needed to pivot to another cruise in June because I had Southwest airfare credits I had to use by July 5, FCCs from cancelled cruises I had to use, a post-cruise WDW stay with park tickets and DVC points I needed to use (was able to move to a room at Saratoga for the slightly earlier dates) and DH has to use a week of vacation prior to the end of June or he stops accruing vacation hours. That Dream cruise ticked all those boxes and was $1000 less. I was able to pay that off and use the remaining FCC for our Fantasy cruise later in the summer. Whew! We rebooked on the Wish for next year (President's Day weekend). We were on the July 15 Wish, which obviously ended up cancelled. Ended up booking the last Dream cruise out of PC June 3. While we were obviously looking forward to the Wish, the timing for booking another Wish cruise in summer 2022 didn't work for us because of my daughter's cheer schedule. But, with the FCC we had and the 50% off, we ended up 1) adding a person; 2) upgrading to a verandah from inside; and 3) having about $250 left over in onboard credit when all was said and done, so...you know, I'm not mad about any of it. That's a pretty sweet deal, and we will just be happy to be on a ship and on CC.
