Wish Maiden Voyage Delayed

So i can see the maiden voyage new dates on my portal. However, i can't modify staterooms, check dining, or add ground transfers. It keeps giving me an error message.

I cant see anything.. I have the confirmation email from Disney that they moved us to the new dates, but its a little worrisome not being able to see it online at all.

I was finally able to snag two rooms for my group a few minutes ago on line using the 3 day hold. This will be pending them finding my reservations for the ones they cancelled. The prices ended up being about $15 higher and had to move to the aft end of the ship same deck.

So the mystery of whether I go or not gets kicked down the road to Friday. Hoping to speak to a reservation specialist before Friday and get the missing money I paid resolved. Also they lost my wife's Castaway membership Number but had her Passport number on file--- strange!

Fixing these problems one step at a time.

You were able to snag maiden voyage rooms? or a different date with the 3 day hold?

Would anyone know if they are cancelling other cruises? I had a September 5, 2022 Wish sailing and cannot find it.

I've been on hold with DVC member services for 1:36... Update: took 3 hours but I am pretty happy that I was able to move from a 4B on the member cruise to a 3A on the NYE (12/30) for about the same cash/points.

How does the 50% discount work with a reservation made with DVC points? Can you make a reservation for 50% of what the point chart says?

Yes, it was 50% of the cash cost and 50% of the point cost . I requested to pay all cash and was told that was not possible since I originally paid one person's fare with points.

Update-
Finally got through to an agent. Everything fixed! My prior payments applied and 50% discount applied to balance due. No more 3 day hold as they applied equal payments to my required deposits.

My wait time was 164 minutes but the agent was really nice and took care of everything.

I'm so glad this worked out for you, but still disppointed it took so much effort to get there. I wish you smooth sailing from here on out!

(Sorry in advance if this is a dumb question) We were booked on one of the effected cruises and were able to re-book for the July 22 cruise. I have a question about the Future Cruise Credit AND the 50% off the next cruise.

Currently our balance shows the full price of the cruise about 4200. We have about 2100 in FCC. If I apply all of that plus the deposit I put down, It will be over the price of the 50% off cruise. Two questions:

1) What happens to the balance is that Ship board credit or is it refunded?
2) Is there any advantage or disadvantage to applying the FCC before the 50% hits the payment page?

I had most of those questions answered and resolved with the unfortunate need to make the phone call. The agent explained that their accounting people set it up this way.
If you look at your emailed docs on the new cruise dates it shows your deposit was applied. At least mine showed that but there was no option to apply the FCC.

After I spoke to the agent I had several options on how to apply the FCC. The way I did it, he applied the credit to each line item including the deposit and the Vacation Protection Plan. Every item was cut in half. He then applied my current prepaid deposits and payments for a new Balance due for May 30.

From what I understand he said you have to contact them by phone to apply your credits. But you can save time as I did by setting up your new cruise dates on line in the web site ( think you did that) But don't make a new down payment; that is, use the 3 day hold. If you don't get through on the phone, before the 3rd day deadline you will need to make that deposit if there is no line item in the new reservation emailed documents.

My first emails did not include the deposit credit, but later in the day I saw more emails come through with the Deposit shown as a line item credit. The phone call cut everything in half.

If your situation matches mine then this is what will happen. Those with points and other FCC and needing to apply to a different cruise will probably have a different process.

I don't know why this has to be so complicated, but that's just the way Disney runs things. Getting into the Parks and then rides has also become more complicated.

So. My wife and I had the MV booked. My DD could not go that week due to a camp she works at. So, we booked another Wish cruise for her birthday in mid-July.

So, the MV was moved and the one on 7/18 was cancelled. Our problems are:

First, the MV is now the exact same time period as the other Wish cruise we booked. So, it’s during our DD’s (adult) birthday. However, we can’t add her into our stateroom since we didn’t have her on that original booking, since she couldn’t go in early June. Hopefully, they may open it up later for her, but if not, I wonder if they can let her take my place (and I just wouldn’t go). I’ll let y’all know what happens…

Second, that July Wish cruise we had booked was with a) a placeholder, and b) FCC we had from a sailing that was cancelled last July (that we tried to take our DD on for her birthday last year). So we got the 125% FCC. The CM told us that even though this cruise is cancelled, that FCC will still expire by September 2022, so we had to use it by then or request a refund, however, if we request a refund, we lose the 50% off. We don’t really want to cruise by September as we have other things already taking up our Summer. Also, the CM said if we kept the 50% off that the placeholder would also expire and we’d lose the 10% discount that it had. That part didn’t sound right to me.

We will probably call back in a few days when things settle down a bit then call back to see what our options actually are…

We were on the July 15 Wish, which obviously ended up cancelled. Ended up booking the last Dream cruise out of PC June 3. While we were obviously looking forward to the Wish, the timing for booking another Wish cruise in summer 2022 didn't work for us because of my daughter's cheer schedule. But, with the FCC we had and the 50% off, we ended up 1) adding a person; 2) upgrading to a verandah from inside; and 3) having about $250 left over in onboard credit when all was said and done, so...you know, I'm not mad about any of it. That's a pretty sweet deal, and we will just be happy to be on a ship and on CC.

We booked that exact same cruise! We needed to pivot to another cruise in June because I had Southwest airfare credits I had to use by July 5, FCCs from cancelled cruises I had to use, a post-cruise WDW stay with park tickets and DVC points I needed to use (was able to move to a room at Saratoga for the slightly earlier dates) and DH has to use a week of vacation prior to the end of June or he stops accruing vacation hours. That Dream cruise ticked all those boxes and was $1000 less. I was able to pay that off and use the remaining FCC for our Fantasy cruise later in the summer. Whew! We rebooked on the Wish for next year (President's Day weekend).
