If you had a wish list of items that would really make your trip extra special by DCL, what would they be???

Mine would be:

1) A free chocolate rose to every mother on Mother's Day. Also have the Crew members wish the Mothers a Happy Mother's Day whenever given the chance.

2) A free piece of cake or a tropical drink for fathers on Father's Day. Also have the Crew members wish the Fathers a Happy Father's Day whenever given the chance.

3) Free Upgrades whenever possible.

4) A surprise free soda hour announced by the Captain each day at a different time each day.

5) a free raffle on each cruise for an autographed t-shirt by the Captain.

Mine would be...

When I got to the check-in counter the balloons would start falling and they would tell me my cruise is FREE and we are in a category 1.

Realistically, I have a few things I wish DCL would start doing:

1. Better photo deals (i.e. buy 2 get one free, free frame with purchase of 4 photos, stuff like that)

2. Free cocktail hour each night

3. One free welcome aboard drink at the sailaway party or embarkation lunch

4. Special Occasion ideas - I like the ideas posted by snowball 22.

5. Upgrades whenever possible is a great one!

Stop selling soda mugs and just make sodas available for no additional charge. Soda does not cost that much (for the provider) to begin with and lugging the mugs around is a real pain! I'd be willing to pay a few dollars per head extra for the convenience and DH and I aren't even big soda drinkers.

Have Diet Rite Cola available. I can't have diet Coke!

I highly second this one. I am highly allergic to Diet Coke. Is Diet Rite sold in Florida? I might need my cousin to bring me some at the hotel or have her take me shopping.

#1---- A special pillow case put in the cabins for the characters to sign....... Maybe a small fee for this, OR even free to return cruisers, DVC, Pass holders, etc... Maybe each one has a special theme or year..... Cheap for DCL but impressive to us!! I have always said the quickest way to my wallet is through my children's hearts!!

#2---- A t-shirt of some sort given to the Flounder's babies at the end of the cruise.... We were a bit miffed last cruise when DD2 was not given anything after paying through the nose for the service... But DD8 got another free "Magic" tee for going to the free kids club show!...... Doesn't really affect us anymore... but I am thinking forward to grandkids!! HA HA

#3---- Really liked the automatic free up grades (When available) to return cruisers and DVC members!!! A couple more and I'm ready for the cat 1!!!!!

Really great thread idea....

Barq's root beer. It is a Coke product. Add $10.00 a person to the cruise and let us have soft drinks when we want them. This cruise (our 4th), the water station water did not agree wih us.

My wish would be the prices in Canadian dollars! A $3000.00 doesn't sound like a lot of money, but when it is converted to Canadian, it's shocking. Or perhaps a small break for Canadians, that way they would get more travellers from this part of the world!
We are going on our second Disney cruise in December 2004.

...special surprises for honeymooners, champagne in their stateroom for example would be lovely:)

Also, the allowance that they could have a table for 2 in the dining rooms would be nice!:)

1) Unlimited spa treatment pass. I'm not talking just for the Rainforest...I'm talking seaweed wraps, facials, masages and the whole nine yards! But of course the price should be the same as the Rainforest pass.

2) By 10 cruises, get one free. We'd be up to our third free one already!

3) Rename stateroom 5650 as "The Barb and Tony Suite" and reserve it exclusively for our use (it would be nice to have a grand piano in there like the Walt Suite, but I don't think it would fit...maybe a digital keyboard?).

4) And on a serious note, high tea on the Wonder. The Wonder is my favorite ship by far, but that is the one thing I really miss from the Magic.

5) And bring back the improv comedy (although I know that will never happen), or at least stand-up comedians.

Your last comment intrigues me Barb..
Why do you like the Wonder more than the Magic? I've never been on the Magic (Next year :) ) but had thought they were for the most part the same ship.
Interested to hear why.

Yes, Diet Rite is sold at Publix. And I am definitely bringing my own. I am deathly allergic to nutrasweet. I am waiting o hear from the medical people about this because I cannot have anything made with it. And most desserts for diabetics are made with it including the ice cream. I'm better off eating the sugar taking more insulin to cover.

My wish would be to take all the calories and fat grams out of the food so we could eat all we wanted and not have to worry about those extra pounds we find.

Didn't you know that when you are in international waters the fat grams and calories are actually reversed??

My number one thing would be that if it is your birthday and you have cruised more than three times you should get champagne delivered to your cabin for free.. (can you tell where I am going here :) )
