Wish Dry Dock 2027

With the Wish all but guaranteed to be getting a dry dock in 2027, what do you think they will do to her?

Will they upgrade/adjust any offerings on the ship? Or will this just be cleaning, painting, etc.

I have been on the wish twice, and I am not sure I know it is even there.... I will look forward to checking it out on this cruise.

We spent several mornings there while sailing the treasure to get some shade and some quiet - neither were available in the official adult only outdoor space. It was super empty until 1:00 when they opened up the pool and had a lifeguard stationed there. Then some kids came and we had to leave - they were too loud.

I love that pool but the fact they don't open it until after lunch is a problem. We like to swim in the morning. Not sure why they do that.

Personally I doubt we will see any major changes. I think it will be a short dry dock with nothing more than maintenance, paint touchups, required inspections, etc.

I’d like to see them change the seats in the movie theatre as they were so uncomfortable.

I wouldn’t object to them turning some of their shops into either DCL shops or more seating/bar areas, but I can’t see that happening when all the other ships have the same upscale shop area.

They've always looked half empty (both in terms of merchandise and number of guests) to me... but I guess the margins must be such that they are worth it.

I think if they were planning any "changes"... we'd see them implemented in Destiny.


In the end, paint, repair and replace finishes would be my guess...

Was the pool open when you were there?sometimes they close the that specific pool due to wind issues…

I would love the chip & dale pool to be made adult only but I’m not sure DCL is hearing enough of that feedback.

Additional things I wish would happen but not likely- please enclose the top floor of Luna. It’s uncomfortable to have match your mate there with kids walking by in the hall.

Things that I think will actually happen- fixing some of the video screens, especially underneath funnel vision. The aqua mouse was also having some video issues on some of the screens on our last trip.

And possibly moving the server stations in some of the restaurants to be closer to how they have set up the treasure. I think that’s the most that’s going to happen.

Another vote for making 14 Forward (pool, side decks, and Currents) for adults! Changing the pool to Satellite Falls would be a huge win, but I wont be greedy...just make it adult only (same on the Treasure).

Was just going to chime in that it seemed rarely open on our Treasure sailing. It was frustrating.

Agreed on the Chip n Dale pool! I’d also just like them to plus up some areas. Flush out the Star Wars bar and add more details around the ship. She feels kind of bare in places to me, but it could just be I enjoy darker colors and wood like on the Treasure and am not huge onto stark white.

Star Wars bar was clearly not what they were hoping for (given they moved onto Haunted Mansion and then pressed repeat)...

Star Wars Bar was, I think, meant to be the bar on the Dream where you visit different cities - Skyline Bar might be the name? Never had a drink there (and on our previous Dream sailing, I never saw anyone having a drink there either!)

Would be great to squeeze another adult hot tub in that is not concierge... Honestly, even if they just kept Rainforest Room open with wider hours that would help that issue... Granted, it is still an uncharge, but it isn't the super high upcharge of Concierge...

While I agree it is possible upgrades would have been incorporated into the Destiny had they wished to make them, it is also possible they could be waiting to make some wider changes until the dry-docks begin...
