I hope everyone's Tuesday is starting out great. We are into our week 8 of our committments. How is everyone doing? I am glad to be back (not from vacation, but to the boards).

My committment for the day is to get in 15-20 min. of exercise, eat 3 meals today with nothing after 9pm except water. I am going to take this week one day at a time after just getting back into the swing of things.

Anyone else want to share what their plan is for the day?

I really did miss you all last week, I read about your accomplishments and you all did so well. Keep up the great work! Did any of you make it into chat last night? I was still working and didn't get a chance to pop in, but I plan to be there next week.

Have a wonderful day!:sunny:

tammy we missed you too but oh my goodness i'm green with envy that you were able to go back so soon! i'm happy for you too!

anyhow -- my committment is to continue with my snacking committment (4 pts or less between lunch and dinner) and to stop eating by 7 p.m. and too STAY ON PLAN this weekend!

that is challenging enough :hyper:

Hi Committers! I haven't posted on here in a few days, and tried to get into Chat last night but couldn't even get on the boards! (Anyone else have that problem?) Oh how I have missed you all!

Hi Tammy! I'm so glad you had a good time at WDW! My ds8 and I made a countdown calendar for our cruise in June and I LOVE seeing those numbers go down each day! I think you're smart by taking things slowly and getting back into your routine--I know you'll do great with your committments!

Good Golly Miss Molli! First thing I have to say is how much I love seeing the close relationship you have with your mom! Your congratulatory thread for her yesterday just warmed my heart--I sooooo wish I had that kind of relationship with my mom. You guys give me such a big case of the WARM FUZZIES! Good luck with your Snacking Committment--(it's hard sometimes, isn't it?!) I know you'll do GREAT!

I've been doing well with my committments to exercise 6x a week, and not eat past 7pm. I need to work on eating better foods, though. A few times this past week I chose to eat junky foods as opposed to eating something healthier. The scale didn't seem to notice my poor choices but my body sure did. I noticed a real lack of energy and an overall "yucky" feeling on the days when I didn't eat very nutritiously. I was wondering if maybe it was a psychological thing, but I guess that phrase "Garbage in=Garbage out" could apply in this case. My committment for this week is to get back to making nutritiously sound food choices along with continued exercise.

Have a GREAT DAY COMMITTERS! :sunny:

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I hope that everyone's day is starting off great. I just finished up 30 minutes on the treadmill. Boy, when I got up this morning I could feel that I had walked on that treadmill yesterday. That made it very apparent that I needed to get myself back on there today.

I am again committing to eating 3 meals today and drinking plenty of water. I have my exercise done for the day.

I am going to take away my goal clippie for now because in my heart I am not at goal anymore. I am not in the range that I set for myself and have not been for a good while. I am going to be working for that clippie again and will celebrate once I make it. I am going to have my WI on Friday (not looking forward to it) and will then begin my countdown from there. I haven't really weighed in a couple of weeks and I feel that for me I have to start this like I am starting over. My goal is to be somewhere between 130-135.

I'm sending lots of PD to everyone this morning to stay with their committments today.

Molli-I would have packed you in the van if I thought it would have been possible. We had such a great trip (I've never done a trip report, maybe I should try my hand at it in my spare time):p I am proud of you for keeping up with your snack challenge and not eating after 7pm.

LMD-It is so much fun to watch the countdown, it gets better the closer it gets, mine is too far away now. Good job on keeping your committments and then realizing that you need to make some better choices in your foods. I think we are can be found guilty of that, but catching it in enough time is very important.

Going to run and check a few other messages. Hopefully we'll have others to join us this week.

Happy St. Patrick's day everyone,

My commitment is to exercise 6 days this week, eat within my points, drink 8 glasses of water per day and stop eating by 7pm (except for Monday night WI).

I didn't make it to WISH chat Monday night either. I had weigh-in at my WW meeting (lost .6 for the last two weeks) and fell asleep about 9pm, I was so tired.

Glad I lost last week, since I had an incident on Friday night with 2 sticky buns.

I got up at 5am this morning and did the FIRM Maximum Body Shaping.

Tammy- we missed you too! Hope you had a fabulous time! I am getting DISNEY withdrawls too. I did put a deposit on a room for November, so possibly I may have talked DH into going again. You will back to goal in no time!!

Kim- I bet it is totally possible that your lack of energy was in response to not eating as good. I know when I eat processed foods and sugar that I don't feel as well, and I crave more and have less energy.

Molly- Those are definately tough committments. You are doing such a terrific job! keep up the great work.

Okay - first - I have been having some trouble getting the boards to work well, too- but finally I did make it to chat - mostly got error messages yesterday - wondered if just too many people were home "snowbound" and clogged up cyberspace - but today is a new day!

Yep, down .5 pound - managed to do the WATP-firm tape- and did some tmilling, walked a mile and ran 1 mile today! don't expect to see that every day but today was a good day and I did it! (Reading a book that is very encouraging Courage to Start, John Bingham) makes a lot of sense and he has a couple of sequels that AnnieT recommmends. (ohmom- AnnieT said she is reading books out of order - not to tell you - cause you just can't imagine doing that ;) ) Well, I am starting with the first one and so far so good. It is written for a non-athlete (I fit very well into that category) making lots of sense to me.

And another reason to smile - my DH proudly told me this morning that he had on his size 34 jeans! He is looking trim but he wants to lose a few more.

Everyone is doing soooooooo well - keep it up! Tomorrow last night of my weight class and not sure what else I will do but I really really really want to be a pound down next week and get that next clippie so I will do something!

and Luvmydogs - I am so glad that I read your post - I think I might just have had some chocolate this afternoon but not now - I do think there is something to the "junk in- feeling crappy" -theory and I am feeling good for the day, so I am going to have the apple I brought with me instead!!

Tammy - good for you on getting a handle on getting that little extra bit off - you will be back to that red goal in no time and then it will be a celebration for sure!

Molli - You can do it - good goals for the week ;)

Melaniec - congrats on another loss - you had a rough week - but you moved on - that is what is important - I see you smiling now that DH home again, too!

Time to go lunch over---

ERIN GO BRAGH COMMITTERS!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Hi Tammy! I love your leprechaun! Lots of {{{HUGS}}} to you, my friend! I know you'll be back on track in no time! It's good you're catching yourself now--as the Queen of Yo-Yo Dieters, I know how important it is to catch yourself early. Gosh, those pounds can sneak up so quickly, but you're nippin' it the bud! (I just had the weirdest flashback to Barney Fife saying, "You gotta nip it in the bud, Andy! Nip it in the bud!") We're all behind you, Tammy! You'll have that Goal Clippie back in no time flat!

Hi Melanie! A Sticky Bun Incident?! I had a Dreaded Ziti Incident a few weeks ago, so I know where you're comin' from, Sister! I know you'll do great with your committments this week--you already know that you're one of my Exercise Inspirations!:hyper:

Hi Bev! Yes! Down .5 pound!!! Gosh, those last few pounds can be sooooo difficult, but you're doing such an AWESOME JOB sticking with your program! Bev, I am so happy for you, and am celebrating your victories right along with you!

Have a most excellent day WISHers!:sunny:

WOW, i haven't been around much...due to MY SNOW DAY YESTERDAY!!!!! the days i LOVE being a teacher!!!!
just kidding, i really do love my job the other days too::hyper:

Well, congrats to AEG for a 1/2 lb loss!!!! its the running!!!

Melc:congrats on your .6 loss!

Tammy: good luck with your new start!!!!

keep up the committments everyone!! you are awesome!

and on that note: my commitments for the week:
1.drink lots of water
2. eat OP and healthy
3. work out 4 times
4. do at least 1 long run of 5-6 miles

hopefully i can take off a few more pounds before the weight loss contest is over. i am in the lead, but i want to make sure i stay there...then i will focus on maintaining!!!!

have a great St. Patricks day!!!!

Well all done with tm 2.5 miles (varied routine today) then did Denise Austin - work with the stability ball - today is my last weight class - BUT ohmom is helping to work up a routine to keep some strength training going.

Guess what - I am a daily weigher (I know Melc relates;) ) anyway today I saw 153.5 - for me - that is the lowest I have seen yet and it gets me to my 35 lb's gone! I claimed .5 down yesterday (my official WI day) so I am not going to get the clippie until I know I really am at that weight (Tammy relates here ;) ) But it surely does mean progress!!

Evansmom and ohmom - I bet you are right it is that little bit of running!!

Have a good day everyone - I'm lunching with a friend today - but no sweat - will have a good healthy salad bar and ff dressing for me!

Wishing all a good "committer" type day!

Just off of the treadmill and I ran 14 min. of the 40 this morning. It felt good and hoping that I'll be able to try again tomorrow.

Sorry this is short, but I need to get the kids going so that we can get our school day started. I'm going to still commit to my 3 meals, drinking plenty of water and not eating after 9pm.

Congratulations to everyone for hanging in there. Catch up later:D .

Good Morning All!:sunny:

Hi Bev! You are such a WINNER! I bet the running you're doing is giving you a little metabolic push and making that scale go down! I'm a daily weigher, too, now that I'm on maintenance. From all the years of yo-yoing, I've found that I start gaining again when I stop getting on the scale. You know, if I don't get on the scale, I can't see if I've gained anything... Just call me Cleopatra--Queen of Denial. I know that ohMom will work up a great lifting program for you, too. You'll be building those muscles which will help you burn more calories even at rest! Bev, you're doing such an excellent job sticking to your committments, and I'm so proud of you! You must look and feel just great! HUBBA HUBBA!!!:hyper:

Hey Tammy! Awesome job getting your treadmilling in this morning, and I just know you'll have a wonderful Sticking-To-Your-Committments kind of day!:sunny: I don't know how you do it all!

I was up early and got my exercise in for the day. I got back to eating healthier yesterday, and woke up much more energized and feeling better about myself this morning! Why do I eat junk when I know it makes me feel gross?! ***Luvmydogs gives herself a BIG SMACK on the head*** My committments are to continue to eat well and not past 7pm, and to exercise 6x/week.

Make today your best yet, Committers!

Why do I eat junk when I know it makes me feel gross?!

oh Kim -- i can soooo relate to that! That must be our final step in transition to our healthy lifestyles. I know some people who just always choose not to eat the junk, and now I'm understanding why. But I'm not quite there yet ;)

see mom, we knew you could do it! have you got your Dr.Phil book, probably this weekend right? Then you can see that you are using your right thinking! i'm working on that too -- and no fail environment. I know you'll be doing a clippie dance next week! AND -- what a motivator to stay OP at lunch today!

ok -- so far so good this week and it's thursday! Got my workout in this morning and am eating light in planning for a dinner out tonight. Now I realized last night, that I'm going to break my 7 p.m. rule tonight. Once a month a group of ladies from my church get together for dinner at my mostest favorite mexican place. We don't meet until 6:30 and i'll be late making my last taxi run. soooo - i will order as soon as I can and not linger over my food. I have already put into my journal what I'm ordering and allowed for one serving tortilla chips and one glass of wine! yipee!!

TOM has stopped by but i'm not feeling near as puffy as I have in past month, so hopefully this is a good sign that if I continue this way for another week I will see a loss finally! I need to lose 1-2 more lbs to be legally wearing my clippie!

PD for a great day OP!!

Hi Everyone,

Everyone is doing such a great job with the committments! It sounds like everyone is loosing and feeling so great. Everyone sounds so ubeat this week! Way to go everyone! Can you believe this is week 8???

This morning I got up at 5am and did Super Cardio Sculpt plus day 2 of 5 day abs. I can't believe how tired I am at about 9pm since I started getting up at 5am. I pretty much just pass out! I used to be such a night owl, and I guess my body is compensating now.

Molli- Isn't it great to be able to plan yummy meals and social gatherings into your points! I also love when it's Thursday and you feel so in control all week, it's such an accomplishment. I usually eat 1 serving of chips as well and load them up with Fresh Salsa!! yumm! Us girls here at work usually go to my favorite Mexican restaurant once a week, so I love that I can still loose while eating there!

Kim- I hope your head doesn't hurt to bad after you smacked. I heard it all the way up here in PA! Good job on stopping the JUNK!

Tammy- Great job on running 14 of the 40 minutes! Still waiting on my TM. I think I will be old before I get it, lol!

Bev- Hey, nothing wrong with weighing yourself each day. I do it morning and night and it really helps me keep a handle on what I eat. Nothing wrong with knowing how your body works!!

evansmom- Pixie dust for a few extra pounds to drop before the end of your contest!

Happy Friday morning everyone. I just finished up on the TM for today, 50 minutes total and 16 of those running/jogging (whatever you want to call it). I was really feeling it in my legs last night which I know is a good thing so I figured I'd give it another try this morning.

Great job everyone for hanging in there. We can do this thing together because we all know that it is a lifestyle change and not something that we can change for a few months and then go back to our old way of life.

I can't believe it is week 8, that means 2 months:D , we should all be very proud of ourselves.

Mel-I think the reason why I can't get up that early is because I don't go to bed until around 11:30 or midnight. That doesn't always mean I'm awake, DH has to wake me out of my chair to go to bed.:D .

Going to go and get some things done. Busy day and weekend ahead, but at least the sun is shining today. Have a wonderful OP day. I'm going to go WI in just a little while.

Hugs to you all!

Just stopping in to say hi! I haven't been doing well at all this week. I've made bad food choices and haven't exercised at all. I haven't gained weight, but I don't feel very good about myself.

The children have another cold. They seem to hit my kids so hard. They've had trouble sleeping all week which, of course, means little sleep for me. They have a check-up next week so I'll ask the doctor why they seem to get sick more often than other children.

I'm having some physical problems myself. I've had swollen glands for weeks. I also have abdomenal and lower back pain. I changed BC a little over a month ago and TOM is over two weeks late. I went to OB a little over a week ago and "the test" came back negative. I also had an ultrasound done almost two months ago to check for cysts and they didn't find any. I'm just tired of feeling yucky (especially since I had just begun to feel good from eating right and exercising).

I know this is probably TMI, I just had to tell someone what I'm going through...I don't have anyone here that I can talk to about this (DH knows, but he doesn't really want to talk about it). I guess I'm concerned that I could really be PG or that something more serious is going on (I'm a professional worrier). Thanks for listening.

I'm not making any committments beyond trying to get back OP with my food choices.

Good Friday Morning!

Today is my rest day and it's Friday, YIPEE!

tw1nsmom- I hope they find out what is wrong soon. Just take it one day at a time and concentrating on making the healthiest food choices you can. Try not to eat too much junk, but rather use snacking for adding things in your diet that are healthy. Hugs and pixie dust. I hope things look up soon.

Tammy- Glad the sun is shining down your way, here it's nothing but white and gray. It's snowing again. Send some of your sunshine up!!

well another day off yesterday due to FOG...can you believe!!!
but i did get an extra workout in that i wasn't planning on yesterday!!!

this weekend i am planning on running 5-6 miles for a long run. other than that i have gotten all of my other committment workouts in. and i have managed to stay OP, even with a night out at Frickers for St. Patrick's Day!!!!

AEG...Way to go on 153.5!!!!! 35 lbs...AWESOME!!!!
i think i may become an everyday weigher too! at my thursday WI i was down 2 lbs, but today at school i was only down 1 1/2.
i really need to not be using 2 different scales...stop me on this!! it is frustrating to me!

???Does everyone just go by there home scale??? i do, but the one at school (for the contest) weighs me in higher- YUCK!! i never know what i REALLY weigh!!
plus my home scale is not digital...i should probably get a digital! regardless, both show a loss...but what do i go by for sure!!??

OK, i'm rambling!!!!! done!

have a great OP weekend!!!!

I had something all ready set to post at noon and the stupid machine I was on "burped" or something - it just didn't happen - so let me say I did an old tape (Jane Fonda step aerobic) and I actually kept up. I say that because I remember one time turning it one and saying - no way I can't do this - PROGRESS - I did it today :p

and I said something like ohmom and evansmom would be so proud cause I'm getting some variety :D they are very wise and say that I need to do some cross training, so I am going to.

Okay Evansmom - you stop that weighing on 2 different scales and did you see what you just said
both show a loss...
Loss is a loss - you are losing - I say pick a scale and only use it - maybe you should just use the one at school since that seems to be the "official" one until the contest is over. BTW - are you still the leader, just wondering? Nik- I bet you could weigh different on lots of different scales - but remember this is about a lifestyle and don't you feel better and healthier, then make the number secondary (I know that is hard until this contest is over) but you said it yourself - they both show you are losing. Well, at least it's Friday and you will only have one over the weekend ::yes:: there may be a challenge here for you - not to weigh on more than one scale - could you commit to that? And, don't fret - you are losing!

Keep up the good work everyone - week 8 - wow - we are doing great!

cyber hugs to all and I just love hanging out with friends that are such a great support - onward and downward we go!

Sat morning and I am done - 8 miles tming - wanted to walk outside, temp okay - but big thunderstorm had me changing my plans.

Lots of stretching too - so now it's hit the showers and on with my day - errands, visiting, etc but tomorrow will be my day of rest ;)

Did you happen to notice that evansmom has a pix of herself and her sweet Evan and cutie DH - go take a look - they are a very "smart" looking family - they were modeling in a fashion show. I think we have ohmom to thank for the pix taking ;)

Ohmom if you are on this thread just a reminder that you really want to stay OP this weekend - you told us so :p

Have a good day everyone!

oopies -- i forgot to check on this thread and my PM buddies already know I made bad choices last night! i'ts water under the bridge and I'm COMMITTED to staying OP the rest of the weekend, that is an improvement in itself. I'll try for cheat-free next weekend, again. just keep swimming.........

twnsmom-- ((HUGS)) to you and more PD for a speedy recovery -- feeling yucky is no fun and don't be hard on yourself. today is a new day

evansmom-- stop that! you look fabulous! I totally agree with mom - pick one scale. I did the same thing when I got a scale at home and weighed at moms, then at the Y. now I don't do that. my scale is not digital, you don't need to know to the tenth of a pound -- you are obsessing. stop that! you look fabulous!

and go to the WISH family album thread and edit your entry with a bit more about yourself -- WISHers are very nosy by nature

just finished a FIRM video, not my fave and going back to the library. so far I agree with luvdoggies that the cardio sculpt is best. yesterday I tried my new Kathy Smith Rules of Fat Burning and it was definately an intense cardio workout for me.

and mom -- you did that video! awesome! funny that you held onto it for so long when you thought it was too much! see, you knew all along you had it in you! now, change your clippie! you've weighed it twice and that's proof enough!

have a great weekend ladies, I don't know that i'll be on my pc much this weekend -- but i'll report in sunday night for sure!

:wave2:
