Well gang another month has come and gone!! It is AUGUST!!!! Can you believe it!!! Well I can't believe that I leave for Minneapolis for 5 days on Wendsday so this should make life interesting for trying to stay OP!!! BUt I will try really hard!!!!

I don't know how but my scale says I stayed the same this week so I will take it!!!! Oh boy will I take it!!! SO how did everyone do this week????? Hope you had a great week!!!!

Well I was dying to know if I lost my 1.5 pounds necessary to get my very own bright shiny 30 pound clippie so I weighed in a day earlier. The results .....

3 pounds!!!! WOO-HOO!!! I am SO excited because I get my 30 pound clippie!!! :) This is such a big deal for me. I have never lost 30 pounds before and I have had such a difficult time lately trying to stay on my program. It has been a really big struggle at times over the last two months but finally I have broken that plateau and I am a loser once again!!!! :)

Thanks for letting me be a part of this incredible group. This has to be the best support group on the net and I could not have even gotten 1/2 as far without you. And to all of us who are struggling...please don't give up. If I can do this then so can you. It is worth it to work so hard and to finally see results. It may take longer than you thought but it will happen!!! :)

OK I only used 3 smilies so far so I can now have 5 little bouncies guys!!!!

I've been waiting for this thread! :)

I gained 1.2 pounds this week!!! According to Weight Watchers, a maintenance week. According to Dan, to much for maintenance! :teeth: But it's okay. Lisa took the bar exam this past week, and that was throwing me off as well, because we were working around her schedule. But, it's all over, I'm back on program 100%, and have had a great week. Am looking forward to some great results on Thursday!

Well I am pretty disappointed with my one pound gain, more disappointed in myself. I didn't follow my program very well, went out for ice cream on Friday and generally made poor choices all around. So hopefully I will do better next week. These last 7-8 pounds seem to be the hardest to lose. Great job to all that did well this week and if you were like me and gained, well let's just hang in there!
 

I'm on day 9 or so of Atkins and I've lost 8 lbs, so I'm still just below goal weight, which isn't too shabby. I'm interested in seeing how this goes, so I'm sticking with it.

I did have more carbs than allowed last night (went with a friend to a nice dinner out for her very belated birthday) but still ate in a reasonably sensible fashion. Not in ketosis any more, but that's ok. I actually feel TERRIFIC today, better than I've felt all week! AND I have no appetite again (YAY!!).

Interesting program. I'm not sure how it'll end up for me, but it's a fascinating process to watch!
 
3rd week of Atkins, I should still be losing well, but I stayed the same this week. I've added a bunch of supplements and had a couple too many moments of weakness this week.

Hubby's home from Guatemala...stayed OP during his whole trip! It seems too easy for him. He has so much discipline and self-control!

Anyway, back to Induction for the forseeable future!

PS: I DID exercise 6 of 7 days this week! Maybe I'm adding muscle, right???? :p
 
I missed check in last week. I lost one lb. One more to go before I can get my 5 Lb. clippie ! Keep up the good work everyone and don't get discouraged if you have not lost or have gained. Just take it one day at a time. We can all do it !!!!
 
Hiya Gang ~

Haven't had the best of weeks. Felt unwell since about Thursday. Had a migraine that lasted what felt like days but was only about 36 hours. Can't even think about anything else at the moment, so I'm just taking it as it comes. Will be back at the gym this week and hopefully back on track. Going to start induction again, it seems to work for me physically and mentally.

Okay only -1 for me this week but it's better than nothing right? Congradulations to all my looser friends and to those who gained or stayed the same hey it happens to all of us at some point i bet next week you'll see much better results. The body is a strange thing.LOL
 
Hi all,

Well, got back from my Mom's (DH, kids and I spent vacation there....built in pool, you know!:teeth:) and I stayed the same on Friday's weigh in.

But I'll tell you what is really exciting!!!! I've been 100% OP since and on Sat. I went to Walmart and bought the Keto sticks. I used to use them all of the time but had kind of forgotten about them. Well, I weighed myself today and I've already lost a couple of pounds but what really shocked me was my keto stick. IT WAS ALMOST PURPLE!! I know it doesn't have to be purple for you to lose, but it sure helps the morale, doesn't it?
My hubby asked me what does that mean? I said," It means I'm burning fat just sitting here, baby!! :p ".
There are times I really struggle on this program but then there are times I LOVE IT! (I also really love it when I can order a salad at Outback steakhouse and say, "And may I have a generous amount of your homemade Bleu Cheese dressing, please."):cool:

I must add though that all of you are my inspiration. You don't know what it does for me reading how everyone is doing. Keep up the good work!!:wave:

I lost another pound this week.........
I wish that it could be more, but at least I went down a bit.

The 10 pound clippie will have to wait......

I did lose this week. I lost 3 lbs which earns me a clippie. (Just need to figure out how to add a clippie ) What a great feeling!!! When I first did atkins about 5 years ago it was just in the beginning stages. Not many foods and special atkins products. Now after marriage and 2 kids and about 30lbs I am doing it again. It is the easiest diet around. I Love it. No matter where you dine out there is always something to eat. Chicken salad platter, Carrabas has the best grilled Salmon FYI., and the list goes on.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words and encouragment so that I can be a big loser.

I went up 0.4 this week, and I think it was more a combination of little boo boos than one big thing. My biggest goal this week is to Journal. Congrats to all the losers!!!

I lost 1 pound this week. This was my measure day and I have lost a combined total of 6 inches! Woo hoo! Thursday is my official one month mark so I am pleased with my 16 pound loss and 6 inches down! Now, for August!

Congrats to the losers, high five to the maintainers, and a hug to the gainers...this is a new week! WE CAN do this!!

Sounds like a really "mixed results" week for our little band of compatriots this week. Hang in there everyone. I've had weeks at a time where it seemed like the scale just refused to move.

Those of you reporting "little boo-boos" or a single meal here or there that was off plan are still doing great. Remember that in order to lose and keep it off (and THAT along with improved health is the ultimate goal for all right?...I said RIGHT? :p ) that we are making a lifestyle change. And that new lifestyle is going to include birthdays, holidays, trips and other life celebrations. So make the best choices you can and stick strictly the rest of the time.

Ok - now for my weekly check in ......

Another 5 pounds gone! What a week, whoosh fairy or whatever I'll take it. That makes 20 since joining WISH and 105 total.

Just 10 more left to go to reach my ultimate goal.

Well...I finally lost enough to change my clippie and get to a mini goal of 25 pounds gone before I go back to work for the new school year!!!

Mum4Jenn, congrats on making your mini goal! When does the new year begin for you? I still 4 weeks to make my back-to-school mini-goal, and I plan to make it, too. I can follow in your footsteps!

For me, this week, I lost 1.5 pounds. And I forgot last week-I made my second 10% goal! So I am onto the third 10% now. :)

We've done well ladies and gentlemen. Up, down or stable, we are on our way to a new life! WEIGH TO GO!!!
 
Debbie: School starts on August 8th here but I have to go in to work tomorrow and Wednesday.I work i the Middle school Lunchroom so things are going to be interesting being around all that food!! I am planning on taking a pack to keep in the cooler that I will replenish each week. I will have sf jello,reg.mayo(they have red.calorie or red. fat mayo at school) some precooked bacon,boiled eggs,turkey or ham slices.
 
I lost 2.4 lbs this week - enough to allow me to upgrade to the 25lb clippie! I'm so excited!!!
