WISH Check-In Week of 5/3

Everyone's new clippies look great. Congrats to those of you who went for the gold this week. As for me, I only maintained this week. Seeing as how I gave into the pizza craving one night and only got out and walked once, I'm happy to have maintained. I hereby resolved to increase my walking to 3 times this week - the So Cal weather is giving me no excuse! :)

Keep up the great work! Hopefully, I'll be ready for my clippie next week.

Well I finally went out and bought a scale. It looks like my efforts this week have returned me to my previous WISH weight loss of 10 pounds. This is great, I don't feel like I am starting over from the beginning. This added to my previous post about my shorts fitting makes this a definite winner of a week.

Of course my new scale does the body fat stuff too - lets not discuss this amount (eek)

Ok,now for my results............................... weighed myself today and i lost 5lbs.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wooohooooooooooooo!

I have to say i am loving this! I`ve lost 9lbs in two weeks and 5lbs. before i started atkins so i`ve gone down a total of 14lbs! I think i`m going to have to do a midweek weigh in so i can grab that 15lb clippie!!lol

I've lost 9 pounds since starting Atkins 2 weeks ago. But I waited til Apr 25 to take the Wish Challenge, and I lost 5 of those 9 pounds since then. I've only been walking a mile a few days a week, so this week I hope to increase my exercise level. I can't believe I'm losing the weight and feeling so good- no sugar cravings and lots more energy. Thank you all for inspiring me.

Would you believe that I, the freak who ususally HAS to weigh in every day forgot to weigh in officially yesterday???LOL!!! Too busy this weekend I guess. Anyways, I weighed in this morning and I'm down 1 (not including the stuff that I had gained and now lost again). I'm now at a total of 18 pounds...I think:confused: . All this gaining and losing gets me lost for my weekly total. But, I started at 198 and as of this morning I'm down to 180, so that's 18 right??? Its too early in the morning for math.
Funny story, yesterday I was getting dressed for church and put a dress on and didn't get a chance to put my nylons on right away. I was walking through the house when I suddenly realized, HEY! MY thighs aren't rubbing together like they used to!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I was so excited, my husband thought I had lost my mind...but what does he know???

Kelsie, you're going to be getting that 20 pound clippie any day now!!

I am down another 1.5 pounds!!! :) That puts me at 14 pounds total and just 1 pound away from that elusive beautiful 15 pound clippie. Maybe I will weigh-in late this week and see if I can grab it a little early! ;)

I was actually a little suprised by my loss this week since I was not very good this weekend. I really let myself get off track but I know that I am starting over again today. It is still pretty hard for me to control what I am eating for special events. On Saturday we went to the zoo and went to a birthday party for a friend's son and both places I could not resist a few temptations. I still probably ate much less than I would have before so at least I can count it as a partial success. This upcoming Saturday is my DS's 1st birthday so I am going to need to be very careful this week so I can splurge a little at his birthday because I am NOT going to miss a piece of DS's first birthday cake even if it means that I have to wait an additional week for that 15 lb. clippie.

It looks like everyone is doing so great this week!!! Congrats to us all for making the decision to be healthier! :)

It was a good week for me. Last week I had gained 1 lb :( but that was because the Bloat Fairy came for a visit. He has now left the house:bounce: :bounce:

Sooooo, last week I was 12 lbs down and today I am now , drumroll please: 14.5 lbs. down:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I'm very happy with this but, I need my 15 clippie, so I have some incentive for next week. I have been doing this for 5 weeks, and am closing in on my first goal. I want to be 23 pounds down in 3 weeks, which is 8.5 lbs more. It will be tough but worth it. It is doable. I have not been good about exersize, so I can increase this and just be good about eating.

My incentive is a cruise at the end of May, so here's hoping I can do this. Congrats to all on their losses and all of us can do this.
 
I thought I could have kicked him out of my house by the time of my weigh-in but he must like the no-sugar-added chipwiches in my freezer so I'm sad to say I only lost .5 lb this week. It's my lowest yet since starting but I had my highest loss per week just a week ago so I guess I can still feel proud. Plus I can help celebrate all of the wonderful successes of everyone else!! You guys are so inspirational - I know next week I'll be a loser for sure!! Way to go everyone!

I really fell of the wagon this week, and gained 1.5 lbs. :rolleyes: But, I'm actually very happy with that! ;) I have been sick, and told myself that I would start again on Monday, and I promise to work towards stronger goals. Not having a definite plan has been somewhat of a downfall. But, I'm going to make mini-goals and really try to get serious. So, you guys send me some pixie dust, I'm really going to need it!! :p

(I really need extra pixie dust today, I've got an interview for a promotion... :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc )

Keep up the great work everyone! I'm so proud of ALL of you. Being a part of this board makes us WINNERS even when we don't lose! ;)
 
Well this was my first week and after stepping on the scale midweek and got a HUGE disappointment after eating alot of salad and really trying to be good - I stepped on this morning thinking it also wasn't going to be good but alas it fooled me....

<B>I'M DOWN 3 POUNDS!!!!</b> This is HUGE for me because I've gained so much of my first weight back plus. I guess the strenuous work I did yesterday paid off!!!!! (Laid a 21' landscape area yesterday with my dad and it took 7 hours to do with ALOT of manual labor). And that even included the ice cream that I was craving last night.

I did notice for dinner last night that I didn't feel like eating as much as I would have - I cooked a great pork chop dinner recipe and usually I have seconds and I have more potatoes than I did - to me that was a HUGE thing to not have eaten as much as I would have!!!!! So I was pleased with that.

Everyone did great this week because you tried - whether you lost or gained - you still tried and that's the important part. I have to remember that every day. I started drinking Fat Free milk this morning and it wasn't bad. For me that's another HUGE step. I'm really trying hard to eat as good as I should and include a bit more dairy and fruits and veggies in my diet than I have been.

Well I had a good weekend away!! Thanks John for starting the thread for me this week!!! I tried to behave myself this weekend I really did!! I went over points but nor overboard if that makes sense!! I had 2 occasions where we had all you can eat stuff and I controlled myself really well!! When I weighed in this morning I have lost .25 this week. Ok so that is a bit disappointing since I finished the Alex challenge successfully on Thursday And was away and was good al weekend. But I also know it was raining and blowing something awful and my jeans were wet by the time I got to work. So I am happy with my loss and will have to try harder for next week!!
 
I lost 2.5 pounds last week and am now just 2 Pounds to GOAL. I want to give myself the best birthday present ever so I will weigh again on Friday. As my WISH buddy told me, if I don't make it by Friday I will make it !

My accomplishments for the week - no treats at Disneyland on Wednesday (I did have the most delicious Asian Chicken Salad and have been dreaming about having another one for days), worked out at the gym until 10:00 pm 2 nights, and went to a local Italian Restaurant for MIL's birthday on Saturday night and had nothing but 5 glasses of water and a small dinner salad. :) They put the garlic bread, a pizza, wine and the cake in front of me and I just talked and drank my water all night.
