WISH Check-in Thread week of November 2, 2003

I finally lost enough to claim my 40 pound clippie!! And I am only .4 away from reaching the 50 pound loss mark from when I first began this journey.

Congratulations losers!!

Wow, everyone is doing great this week. Even if there was a little gain here and there, heck, it was Halloween.;) Weighed in at WW last night and lost 4.4 lbs. That brings my total up to 24.2 lbs overall and exactly 20 lbs since joining WISH.

It's so nice to pop in here and see that everyone has good days and bad days just like me and that we are all in this together. The support here is incredible.

Keep up the good work everyone.

Nancy

Well, I'm happy to say I'm at 185, AGAIN! TOM started yesterday and I know I'm carrying atleast a pound or two in my chest- they're hanging like anchors! UGH! And I completed my first week of 24 miles of walking since I was sick- so I'm back on my exercise program full force and I know that the weight can only go down when I'm keeping up with the walking. So it may take a week or so for my body to kick this TOM thing and get used to the am walks again- I'm shooting for a 6 pound loss by Turkey Day- so hopefully next week will be good for me.

I'm so proud of those new clippies some of you guys are wearing this week- you worked hard and it paid off!!!! Keep it up!!!

Well, it looks like Halloween wasn't that bad after all! Congratulations to all with good news, and for the rest of us, congratulations for not letting it frustrate us!
My report is not good and not bad. I maintained. I am holding my head high though, as I did stay true to My Halloween Pledge and did not have a single bite of candy! I did, however, indulge in a bag of Tostitos. It was shared between four of us, but I think I got the best of it. So what I'm really dealing with is a lot of water, which is evidenced by the imprint of my socks and even the grain of my blue jeans on my thighs! With TOM right around the corner, I doubt I'll see a loss anytime soon, but I'm working on it nonetheless. Still working on 140 by Thanksgiving. I know it sounds undoable at this point, but with a whoosh and 2 lbs/ week, it could be done. I'm Keeping the Faith!

HI everyone! I haven't been in in about 3 weeks or more..major stress eating and not making my WW meetings due to the things going on in my life at that time have not made weight loss my top priority. Things are finally getting back to normal..I'm getting back on track. I joined Curves and am loving it! My last weigh in I was down .4 pounds since last time I posted...but that is good because I was going up in weight! I did not make my Halloween mini goal, but I am not worried about that//I'm just glad I didn't gain 5 pounds!

So I am now back on track..onwards and downwards!

 Good morning all ! Put me in a holding pattern , As i circle around mco at a steady 219 for the past 3 weeks......Oh well i do only have only 3 weeks till i go to universal studios:earseek: Sorry mickey my six year old said she wanted to see Scooby doo:hyper: :wizard: Maybe she will be sprinkled by some stray fair dust while we are down there,I mean she she is takeing her best friend Eyore after all.....

Even though it took a couple of tries on the scale this morning to get the number I wanted to see (feeling a little guilty about that  but it will all work out in the long run), I managed to make another 3 pounds disappear this week... which makes 30 pounds total, so it's time for me to finally go GOLD! Check it out! I also made my first 10% goal, which feels great. I just wish I didn't feel so guilty over doing the "scale dance"...

I did great over Halloween - I planned to have 5 miniature pieces of candy (about 200 calories), and that's all I had! I'm also getting more practiced at making good choices at restaurants, and leaving food on my plate when I'm full. I still need to work on eating too fast (and thus too much) when I'm really hungry - managed to do it again last night. Gotta keep learning!

Have a fantastic week, everyone!

I stayed (mostly) away from the Halloween goodies and ended up losing one pound.

Hey AprilN nice new clippie!!!!:Pinkbounc

In spite of staying away from Halloween goodies, another slow week for me. I lost 1/4 pound. At least I'm going in the right directions, even if the losses are slow.

the funny thing is that my scales showed a 3 pound loss yesterday morning, but by the time I got to WW , it was gone! I guess that's the hazard of weighing yourself before you get to WW. This morning the scales were back down again!

Well, a loss is a loss, no matter how big or small! I am going to look at my weekend and Monday menus this week and see if something I am doing could be causing this to happen.

Have a great week everyone! :D

I'm finally back into the loss column this week! ::yes:: :jumping3: :happy1:
It's been a while since I have been able to post a loss, so I'm really excited to say that I lost 1 lb last week! Too many little "cheats" all bunched together over our Vegas & WDW trips formed some bad habits that I have had a really hard time breaking, but I think I'm back on track at last! I really want to earn a new clippie by Thanksgiving! :teeth:

Weighed in today. While I didn't lose the 1.5 lbs I gained last week, I didn't gain anything else either. Stayed the same. So, this is good, considering I wasn't on my best behavior over the Halloween weekend.

I go to WW with two friends from work, and we decided this week that we would faithfully write down EVERYTHING and check up on each other every day. Hopefully this will help more.

As usual, I still am not exercising - yet. Trying to get motivated, but it is so hard working full time, and taking care of DH & 4yr old DS too! How do you all do it?

Congrats to all the losers, and ((HUGS)) to everyone!

Onward and downward!!!

well I didn't stay totally clear from the Halloween candy:blush: but I did work in within my points. I'm still within my usual yo-yo range, but at the lowest end - weighing in at 136 then I am down .5 this week. I just pulled up my weekly progress spreadsheet and realized I have only lost 5.5 lbs since june 1! I could look at that two ways - let's just say at least i'm down 5.5 lbs and not gaining! I'm really focused to lose before the holidays so send PD for the loss trend to continue for me!

aaaaagh! 4.5 lbs on in a fortnight!

This wasn't totally unexpected as I've been visting my mum and once home again looking after my flu stricken family. Luckily I was the only one who didn't get ill - but then again I was the only one who didn't lose my appetite !!

7 weeks to Christmas!!! I will get more focussed.

Libby

This week's WI I stayed the exact same. I am not too bummed though, because I had a pretty "iffy" food weekend, and I am just grateful that I stayed the same, and didn't go up. Tried really hard on Monday and Tuesday to recoup, but couldn't get it to go down, so will try again this coming week.

I signed on for the New Years challenge, and I was hoping to have something good to start off with, but maybe next week!

I am in the middle of packing up my desk to move to a new cube tomorrow, so can't snoop on board much today, so hope everyone is having a decent week.

Hang in there everyone!

Onward and downward!!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

just checking in again....

i really cant seem to not eat tons of junk after school and after dinner....dont know why , buts thats whats killin me..

however ive been doing my crunches !:teeth: ....however dont know if tehy will help when i have all this crap trying to get broken down by my slow metabolism rate!;)

congrats to everyone who lost weight, you're all inspirations!:sunny:

and to those who would like to lose more: keep it up you'll get your goal soon ~

I lost 1.5 pounds. Slow and steady. Just delighted to see it coming off. Had to weigh in on a new scale cause my regular one is broken and was a bit worried bout differant calibrations but 1.5 seems right. Now just have to get working on my water and exercise and i'll do even better!

I'm down another 0.2 lbs this week. I was hoping for a little more since I was pretty good this week (especially with the Halloween treats). I started exercising again ... but this time I'm doing less cardio and more weights and resistance training. Maybe I gained some muscle mass *lol* Anyway... I'm pretty happy since I didn't gain :p

Have a great week and keep up the good work everyone :)

I lost 2 pounds this week, but it is the 2 pounds I gained last week. So that's like maintaining.

I got really frustrated at WI last night. It was so silly. I understand why I am losing and gaining. When I cheat, I gain. I can live with that. But I go to WW with my sister. She cheats like crazy and she loses every week!!! Also I exercise every day and she does maybe once a week when I make her. She lost 2.2 last night and it nearly sent me over the edge! I literally wanted to scream.

I understand how silly this is! I am happy that she is losing. I need to stop thinking of it as a "race" with her. I would be totally content if I weren't comparing to her. I have lost 35 pounds to her 25, but she is 6 pounds from goal and I am 12. See... more comparisons.

So I focused on the positive lifestyle changes I am making. I have to keep that at the front of my thoughts and not how much my sister gets away with and I don't..... Gee, maybe there is some ancient history coming to play here! :p

Maintaining, maintaining, maintaining.... :) That's not too bad!

Congrats to ALL the losers!!!! Woo-hoo! Everyone hang in there - it might be rough between now and the end of the year but look out January!!! ;)

I lost one or two pounds (still didn't get a digital scale!), but I also weighed in on my worst bloat day of the month, so I'm guess the loss would've been 3 or 4 pounds during any other week! It seems like a lot for one week, but I cut out about five cans of Mountain Dew a day, along with very junky snack habits. I easily cut 1500 calories out of my daily intake.

Now the test...we head to Disney tonight. A week in the World during Food & Wine Festival....I'm not expecting to be perfect, but I hope to keep my December goal in mind when making eating choices and hoping that the daily park walking will help me out.

Good luck to everyone while I'm gone!
