We have made it into week 4 of making committments and then working towards keeping those committments. Yes, life happens every now and then and things come up, but all in all, we are doing great.

My committment for the day is to eat my breakfast (still having to make this a committment or I'll let it slide), trying the 1 mile tape again and drinking plenty of H2O.

How about you, any committments being made or accomplished? Remember this is a place for any committment that you feel YOU need to work on or be held accountable for.

If you aren't able to join us in the CHAT, please still join us here. I can't wait to see how everyone is doing today.

this is what it is for me this week

limit to one snack between lunch and dinner and that snack must be 4 pts or less

also -- going to add more protein to my lunch and see how that affects my afternoon blahs

the same stuff you been hearing me say - basically 1 hour exercise 6 x a week and no eating after 7:00 and staying within pts.

Did the 4 mile WATP this AM and have weight class tonight so that takes care of the exercise part!

ohMom sounds like you are trying something a little different to get those last few gone - here's the place to come and post when you think you need more than 1 snack!

Congratulations to all who have made it so far and welcome to those who are just joining - we can do it - together - makes it so much more like fun than work!

Hi everyone! So sorry I missed you all in chat last night. Dh told me I fell asleep on the couch around 8, and when I woke up it was 11:30! I bet you all had fun last night, and I'm looking forward to joining you next Monday. :)

I did Maximum Cardio Burn this morning, and it's becoming one of my favorite videos. My committment for this week is exercising six times a week, eating nutritious foods (OK, I did have some Oreos yesterday! ), and not eating past 7pm.

Tammy--You have been one of my biggest inspirations in keeping my committment not just to maintain my weight loss, but to maintain a healthy lifestyle! I look forward to this thread everyday and love seeing everyone's progress. I like being accountable for my actions, and honestly think if I didn't have you all here I would not be as responsible as I am now.:) Good luck with your personal committments this week, Tammy. Eating breakfast is hard for me sometimes, too--food just looks so yucky to me first thing in the morning, and it's an easy thing to skip when you're busy! Are you doing WATP one mile tape, or another kind? I should drink more H2O, too--I pretty much drown my body in Caffiene-free Diet Pepsi!

OhMom! It's good to hear from you!!! Oooo, I have such a hard time resisting temptation to snack. Hopefully that extra protein in the afternoon will be a real pick-me-up! Good luck with your committments this week, too, and I'm SO GLAD you checked in! It always makes me laugh when you call me Luvdoggies!:)

You guys, things couldn't be going any better for me, and I have all of you to thank! Have a great day, and keep up the great work! I'm sooooo proud of all of you!:grouphug:

My goal for the week is to exercise at least 1/2 hour a day for at least 6 days. Next week I plan on upping the cardio to at least 45 minutes a day and adding in some strength training.

My immediate goal is to stay away from the girl scout cookies that were delivered today. If I can hold out to tonight I know DH, DD, & DS will eat most of them for dessert (I only bought two boxes).

My other goals include staying OP, keeping portion sizes under control, and keeping up with my water intake.

Wow! For me, that's pretty ambitious, but I'm really feeling positive and energized this week.:sunny:

first of all, i have to say...i wish i could join the monday night chats...but i have no PC access at home, and i'm not staying at work that late! :) maybe someday i will be able to join!!!
but thanks for including me in at other times!!!!!

i didn't have the best weekend as far as sticking with my commitments!! i didn't get my run in :( and my eating was all crazy. because of moving...no refridgerator, craziness, etc
BUT, i have started the week off well..OP eating, my daily 4 water bottles, and 60 min of bootcamp yesterday. i WILL make my 4 workouts this week and stay OP each day!!! i just have to get through the crazy weekends!!!! I can do it!!!!!

oh, and i did not make my saturday weigh in...couldn't find my scale:mad: ...but i will check in this week!

have a fantastic tuesday everyone!!!!!!

awesome to all of you who get 6 WOs in a week...very impressive!!!!
and YEA for AEG...8 miles @ 15 min each...you will be ready for the FULL marathon!!!! 1/2 will be a piece of cake:earsboy:

Sorry I missed chat last night. I'm still here though.

evansmom--I am impressed that you are still doing anything with that busy schedule of yours. You are great for committing to make yourself healthier.

tw1nsmom--Sounds like a great goal to me. One I might like to get to real soon. Just my size. Good luck with the Girl Scout cookies. We buy bunches here as my neice is selling and it has been a Rite of Spring in our house since forever! I've bought, will see if I can stay away from eating. You inspire me there.

luvmydogs--take a nap for me too will ya? I got wrapped up in work I took home and lost track of all time. Went to bed 11:30. OK so no more Oreos. Put them over there on the pile with the Girl Scout cookies.

aeg--the same stuff huh? Sounds like you've got a great thing going for sure. You inspire me, so keep on keepin' on.

ohMom--More protien! Bring on the protein! You're doing it! I've been meaning to say: Thanks for sharing your info as you have been. You've been helping me too.

TammyNC--More water, now I'll be fighting ya for front of the line at the rest stops for sure. Breakfast doesn't have to be much, just start it off. I read that we should eat within an hour of getting up. I get up, get my water, then find something small after I've showered. (HB egg, or cottage cheese, or mozzerella cheese stick, carrots. Some breakfast mmmm.) I figure it's a start. If I get hungry later in a.m. I might add something else that is small and I've made one meal into two! Good luck.

As for me. Not just too sure. I did the 20 min Winsor Pilates and want to continue with that commitment as often as I can the remainder of the week as I feel I need the core strengthening. I will be fitting in some sort of TM or walk in somewhere as well. I have to see doc next Tues for something that is bothering my knee. Hope it won't effect my 1/2 marathon goal. I've been holding back a bit trying not to overdo since the slight discomfort has set in here.

Thanks for putting in your inpsirations, it helps me. Will check in as I can. Good luck my chatty friends.

Chat last night was fun. Tonight I am going to do the FIRM Complete Aerobic & Weight Training and try to run up and down the stairs a few times. I have 4 cups of water in, and will try for 4 more between this afternoon and tonight. I will NOT eat after 7pm tonight!

Everyone is doing such a great job!
I did loose 1.4 last night which officially got me out of the plateau. Hopefully by next week I can report that I made it into the 130's. This leaves me exactly 10 pounds from my weight watcher goal. I really really think that it is because I have been exercising that I broke the plateau. I have each and everyone of you to thank. Had it not been for this committment thread each day, I know I would still be sitting here without having gotten started exercising again. THANKS!

Tiger Lily 03- Definately try to go light on your knee till you find out what's wrong. Hopefully that gets better soon!

Evansmom- Sure wish you could chat with us too, but it's great that you are joining us here on the thread!! Don't fret that your weekend committments didn't go too well, you are doing terrific and your week is starting out well.

Tw1nsmom- Say NO to those cookies!! They are evil!! Seriously, you can do it! You are doing great-keep up the great work.

Kim- We missed you in chat last night too, but we understand! I am starting to like Maximum Cardio Burn alot too. I thought she was an evil person when I first did the video lol! That is a tough workout, but it's getting easier. It's the one that I always sweat the most on. Probably because there are no weight segments. I can't wait to get some of my new FIRM tapes to try.

Bev- This check in really does make it sound like fun versus work! The 4 mile tape and Weight class! Whew you are doing terrific!

Molli- Hopefully the protien will help. Definately try to have your snack somewhere around 2:30-3:30pm. That should help you with not feeling so hungry between lunch and dinner.

Tammy- 4 weeks! We ROCK! It feels like only days since we started! How is eating breakfast coming? Is it making you feel any better.

Ok, I got the FIRM Complete Aerobics and Weight training in. I ran up and down the stairs 6 times and got 8 cups of water in.

Great job everyone!

Good Wednesday morning everyone. I did get the Walk a Mile tape in yesterday and did eat breakfast (if a piece of cheese counts). I just haven't been able to get into a good routine for that. I usually wait until after I exercise, but maybe I should try to eat my grits or oatmeal before hand. I just truly don't get hungry until around 10:30 or 11:00am so it just isn't appealing to me. Anyway, I am committing to going and eating my breakfast this morning, then I'm doing 30 min on the TM and drinking plenty of H2O today. I am feeling bloated mainly due to TOM, maybe I can flush my system out with enough water:D

I just want to say again that I am so proud of everyone who is posting on here. We are making committments and then keeping ourselves accountable. If we don't make it, we report it and move on, if we do, we get to cheer ourselves and each other. The support I find here is awesome.

Mel-Good for you for getting in your workout time. I hate that I couldn't stay in CHAT longer Monday night, it was just one of those nights.

Tiger Lily 03-Glad that you are still around and that you are enjoying the Pilates. I tried those and truly didn't find that it was for me, but so many people are having great success with it. Keep up the hard work.

evansmom-I'm sorry that you can't join us in chat, but I'm happy that you are joining in on our thread. I am sure that your weekend was crazy with trying to move and all, but that was in the past and it sounds like you are being very positive about this week. I bet you'll have a good WI this week.

LMD-Falling asleep in my chair is a nightly thing for me. If I want to do something, I know not to sit down until I'm ready to give in for the night. It is like once I sit down, my body shuts down. We'll look for you in Chat next Monday:D . I have the WATP tapes and am going to work those in maybe once or twice a week and see if mixing things up a bit will help jump start my body:Pinkbounc .

AEG-You are doing great, your miles on the weekend just truly impress me. I will be glad when our weather opens up and I can try to hit the walking track at least maybe once a week while DH is around to keep the kids.

If I missed anyone, I'm sorry. I truly do think of you all and am so thankful to have you all as such great inspiration and encouragement. I am going to get moving now to find my breakfast before I get on the TM.

Have a wonderful OP day everyone and work hard at your committments.:sunny:

Yesterday was a good day. Got my 1/2 hour bike ride in, and I stopped eating my yummy peanut butter ricotta cream dessert when I was full. Being full never used to stop me from eating something that tasted good. I'll do another bike ride tonight when DH gets home.

Just a quick good morning to everyone--I'm on my way to work at ds's school's book fair! I woke up early and did my Cardio Sculpt video. Then I decided to torture myself some more by cleaning ds8's bathroom....:crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:....need I say more? You guys, I am so proud of you all for keeping your committments, checking-in, and being so supportive of everyone! I like hanging out with such kind and caring people!:grouphug: Hope you all have a wonderful day, and a big CONGRATS for working so hard!

Okay you all have heard me say I signed the contract - well - it is working!!!! I was sooooooooooooo pleasantly surprised today at WI - down 3 lbs for the week!!!!!! Woohoo!

Already told my buddies - so old news to them, but - I FINALLY am back to the lowest I have been since starting this journey (saw this number as a fluke around the holidays- you know - one of those capture it quick 'cuz with the next "sip" of water it will be gone" numbers ;) But today I feel like it is a number that I will see for a bit and then I really and truly will go for a lower one!

And, you guys - I love you all - this thread is a real accountability to me and reading about everyone else's committments and success too- it keeps me "hanging in there".

Keep up the good work - keep checking in and most of all - keep your chins up everybody we are doing so GOOD!

Lunch break about over - time to get back to work ;)

forgot to say - yes - I got my hour in this AM - 4 miles treadmill

Happy Hump Day!

Woo hoo- the week is half over!

I did the FIRM Maximum Cardio Burn plus abs. I am hoping to run up and down the stairs at least 6 times. Water- I have almost 4 down this evening, but I only did one cup earlier tody. I doubt I will make all 8 or I will not sleep tonight. I also stopped eating at 6:30pm.

We are doing so wonderful. I can tell the energy that we are receiving from all this moving is helping us all.

Bev- 3 pounds! Woo hoo exercise ROCKS! Way to go! Doesn't that just make you so happy when the scale goes WHOOSH! Actually, maybe you won't see that number too long......it will go lower soon! I hope that this is a trend we keep up now that we are consistantly exercising.

Kim, Sounds like you had a very busy day. Way to go working your exercise around it! Keep up the great work!

tw1nsmom - Great job on stopping when you are full. That is truley a hard thing to learn. I know for me, i was tough to eat my entire plate. It's a hard habit to unlearn.

Tammy- Breakfast definately used to be a struggle for me. I was the same way, I couldn't eat earlier. Once I started eating at 7:30 am, I actually got hungrier less than when I ate at 9:30-10am. Go figure! Just keep working at it slowy. It takes a while to create a new habit!

Keep up the great work everyone! I am so proud of us. 4 weeks of exercise.......and to think we were having a hard time making the comittment 4 weeks ago. Now we are breaking plateaus, feeling great and feeling like winners!! Way to go! Have a great day tomorrow.

Tomorrow I committ to doing the FIRM Total body sculpt, 6 times running up and down the stairs, stop eating at 7pm and 8 cups of water.

This week I'm going to try and get in my exercise again. That is definitely a challenge for me. I know that I can fudge a bit on my eating and still lose if I exercise (I ate like crazy and maintained over xmas with only some moderate activity - doing shipment at work). I'm still committed to eating right but I feel that I don't have to worry so much if I have a bad eating day if I have kept up with my exercise.

Good morning "Committers",

I have finished my 40 min. on the TM, getting ready to eat breakfast and then work on drinking my H2O today. How are you all doing so far?

honeymo78-I know that you can get back into the routine of your exercising. It is great when you are exercising and know that you can have some splurges every now and then.

MelanieC-Sounds like you had a great day yesterday. Hopefully you can get your water in earlier today. I am continuing to work on my breakfast and hopefully that will get easier with time.

AEG-I've already told you how proud of you I am, but I just had to tell you again, I'm so proud of you!!!

LMD-Cleaning the bathroom is one chore that I really don't like. Good job on getting your exercise in yesterday.

tw1nsmom-I hope your bike ride was great last night and yeah for stopping with the dessert when you were full. That's a great accomplishment, I too have trouble with that one.

Keep up the great work everyone. I'm committing to getting my water in today and then walking on the TM for at least 30 min. in the morning. Thanks again to you all for the encouraging words that you give to each other. It is so wonderful to have a place to share when we stick with a committment or when we need to just say, I didn't, but I will be working harder on it.::yes::

Happy Thursday everyone! So glad to see so many of you doing so well with your committments!:sunny: You keep me motivated more than words can say!

AEG--Bev! You're down another 3 lbs.!!! That is so terrific, and shows how motivated and committed you are! I'm so happy for you! I've told you this several times before--you are such an inspiration!

Hi Melanie! Don't you just love MCB with Abs?! You are doing such a great job with exercising (I tried running up and down the stairs--OMG! My aching legs...!) and getting your water in. Don't you just love seeing the results for all your hard work?! You are jammin'!

Honeymo78--Good luck with getting your exercise in this week! It is hard sometimes, I know. What kind of exercise are you doing?

Hi Tammy! You are doing so well with your committments! I know you're busy, but you still manage to get in your exercise, eat breakfast and get your water in! You're sooooo dedicated, and all that hard work shows in your awesome accomplishments!
Keep on keepin' on!

I did Maximum Cardio Burn this morning and didn't trip over my feet as much as I've done before! This is becoming one of my favorite videos, and I really look forward to it when it comes up in my rotation. Today I'm committing to continue to eat nutritiously and not eat past 7pm.

Has anyone else noticed how many new WISHers there are posting on the board? I'm so happy that others are discovering what a wonderful place WISH is!

Everyone keep up their awesome work and have a great day! WE RULE!!!

Well, I did my 1/2 hour on my bike last night and I'll do the same tonight. I'm really excited that I'm keeping up with my commitment to myself, but the bike is getting a little boring. I'm looking forward to the kids being back at school next week. I'll have some time to myself so I can walk the track or start some weight training.

Right now I'm just trying to recover from our playdate this morning. There were three 3 year olds and a 5 year old in my house (including my children). I don't know how people with large families do it. By the end, even the dog had had enough. He went and hid in his crate. Just the stress of looking after all those children should count for some form of exercise, shouldn't it?

Hey guys!

I did the FIRM Total Sculpt plus abs and ran up and down the stairs 5 times. I drank 2 cups of water this morning, and 4 this evening. I have 2 more cups to get my 8 in! WATERLOG! I finished eating at 7pm tonight.

I have really noticed that eating is getting easier. Easier in that I don't seem hungry as often. I rarely eat snacks, and its been easy to quit eating by 7pm. I don't even get hungry in the evening now. That feels really good. I am sure its because I am not eating a lot of sugar, processed foods and white flour.

honeymo78- Isn't it great when the exercise gets you to a place that you don't have to worry about eating as much as long as you eat sensibly! That is a great feeling! Great job on the exercise!

Tammy- Are you doing the TM twice?? That is awesome! It's hard enough to find the time to work out once! Sounds like you are doing good at getting breakfast in! Keep up the great work!

Kim- I hated MCB plus abs at first! It killed me! Yesterday, I actually got through it all getting most of the foot work right! I did move down to the purple box for the step work, because I couldn't keep up and got lost on the blue box. That really helped. It is a great tape, don't you feel like Allie is talking to you when she says - "come on, we can do this together"!! The ab work is getting easier now too. I can even do the advanced ab work. I hated ab work, and used to fast forward through all ab work before! I am committed this time to getting those abs strong. My neck doesn't hurt anymore either!

tw1nsmom- I would try to find something that you really enjoy doing. That will make all the difference in the world! Hopefully when the kids go back to school that will improve!
Playdates are tough! I remember those! I bet you had a workout just keeping up with all the kids!! You are doing terrific, keep up the great work!

Well tomorrow night my dd11 (almost 12) is having a birthday party. Its 2 nights that the girls are sleeping over and I am taking them to the Mall for a Mall Party on Saturday. Saturday night my DS6 is having a friend sleep over. I am taking tomorrow as a rest day, and hopefully I can get up Saturday before I take the girls to the mall and work out! I should get a workout following them around the mall!

Keep up the great work everyone! We ROCK!

Happy Friday-I'm done with the TM today (30 min) and now have breakfast and water to go to meet my committment for the day. However, the weather is suppose to be nice here today (high in the 60's) so I may try to go take a walk at the track up the road if DH can watch the kids this afternoon.

No way could I do two TM's in one day:eek: . I probably wouldn't be able to move. I probably just worded something wrong to give you that impression.

LMD-I have also noticed that there alot of new names on the board lately, which is wonderful. I'm glad you didn't trip yesterday and that you are liking your video more and more.

tw1nsmom-Good for you for getting your bike time in again! Have your kids been out on a break? I'm sure you'll be glad to get back to your original routine. I hope you recovered from the playdate, that is enough to make you look like this:crazy: .

Mel-You had another great day yesterday, good for you. Glad to hear that the quitting by 7pm is getting easier and that you aren't as hungry. I can't wait for that feeling to happen. Good luck over the weekend with your sleepovers.

My committment for tomorrow will be to walk on the TM for at least 30 (won't be in the morning as DS has a ballgame). Eat breakfast before the ballgame and get my water in for the day.

Keep up the great work everyone. It is so inspiring to see this thread each day and see how we are all helping ourselves get healthier. Have a wonderful day!:wave2:
