Prayers that your DD's foot/ankle heal quickly and without incident! Tell her to take care of herself!
SO jealous of your temps!! It hit a whopping 37° here today with clear skies, so in celebration I hung a load of clothes on the line outside!!
Enjoy your Chanukah waffles!! I really enjoy beans, so if you are looking for any recipes for the beans, let me know. I have a black bean brownie recipe that is actually very tasty! And I throw beans (especially black beans) in many recipes.... they go great in hamburger stew and hamburger soup, chicken soup (no potato, rice or pasta for my chicken soup.... just black beans and tons of veggies), 13 bean soup, black bean and barley soup, southwestern quinoa stew, burrito and taco filling, etc.
Thanks! I'm starting to get into beans a little more. I'm about 75% vegetarian (I'll have meat a few times a week, but mostly I avoid it), and it's been hard to find a recipe for soup that doesn't involve meat! I wound up finding a 3-bean soup that I was able to adapt to my needs. Other than my not cooking the onion enough and not sufficiently mincing the garlic, it came out okay. (I should probably mention that I'm a terrible cook)
I do like Rykas, but were never able to find my "favorite" pair again after they wore out..... I tend to go back and forth between Aasics and Saucony. Nothing terribly expensive, but better than
Walmart quality.
Hope the cleaning got done quickly and the exercise and sleep are where they should be!!
Cleaning and exercise not so much ... but I have been sleeping better the past few nights than I was earlier in the week, so I'm starting to feel less worn out. I did get some exercise today, so hopefully that's a move in the right direction.
Thinking of you! Praying that the year ends on an up note for you with the new program! Can't wait to chat more in 2015!!
Hoping that your BP gets where it needs to be and that the sodium gets appropriately FLUSHED!
I agree.... life is unfair to GIRLS!!
Thanks for continuing to chat here and keep us moving in the right direction Sarah!! It is very much appreciated.... especially since I haven't been able to pop on as much as I thought I would!!
Thank you for the kind words. This time of year it's hard for people to stop in a lot and chat ... I appreciate everyone stopping by when they can and hopefully starting in January people will be around to chat more.
WELCOME HOMEEEE!!! You were missed! Sounds like a good trip, but

about the rough seas!! Can't wait for you to share a photo or two (or three)!!
Seconding the request for pictures!!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukkah, Delightful Kwanzaa, Happy New Year, and Season's Greetings..... pick the one that applies to you!!
Things are getting busier here. I worked yesterday and thought I had the evening to myself, but DH ended up on a conference call that ran over, so I had to take DS to robotics.... and I'm sporting a new cold, so I sat there sipping my green tea with lemon and pinning recipes on Pinterest while the boys worked on programming, building a new drive train, all that stuff I don't understand!
Sorry to hear about the cold ... I hope it's getting a little better.
DD and I were SUPPOSED to head out this morning on errands and the last of the Christmas shopping, but I've woken her up three times and she isn't up yet.... so I guess it will be an afternoon shopping trip instead.
College. I remember those days. When I was home, you couldn't get me out of bed before 11. I'm sure constantly waking her up is something you won't miss when she goes back to school.
I'm planning some meals for next week and for after Christmas to bring to my Mom's while we are all there. I like to help out and bring at least ONE full meal for all of us so she doesn't feel like she spent her whole holiday in the kitchen. So I'm going to do a soup night. I did it last year and it went over pretty well with my brother's family and nephews. I think I'm going to make the extra effort to make a small bread bowl for everyone this time. It really makes the meal more fun and seem like more of an event. I'm going to do my chicken and black bean soup and my roasted cauliflower and garlic soup...... one hearty and full of veggies and protein, one a little lighter and creamier. Will also serve some sliced cheeses. And since I'll be making a big mess of the kitchen doing that, I will do a few batches of soup for my freezer as well. Hoping to buy the groceries for that today, get the soup made over the weekend, and into the freezer so I can just pull it out and bring it to my Mom's when we head there after Christmas.
Soup night sounds great ... it's a nice break from a lot of similar-themed meals, and I'm sure your mom appreciates the help!
Also plan to finish up my last minute shopping today. Just need a few more stocking stuffers and Advent gifts and I'll consider myself DONE!
Off to wake up DD again and get out the door by lunch hopefully!..........P
