It is true that relationship takes time.
AMEN!!
Good thing the wagon is right here to pick you up,
Molli.

We all have off weeks. Climb back in and you will be ready to go.
Yup.... saved a nice spot right here between Lisa and me!! (Okay... we need a "wagon" smilie.... but this is the best I could do for now....
I'm driving and Lisa called shotgun!
)
I am a daily weigher myself but it is a lifelong habit and I don't get too worked up about daily fluctuations but pay attention to the long term trend. It helps.
As long as the daily weigh-ins don't become your "mood barometer" for the day, then it isn't a big deal!
I found the secret safe hiding place of the cranberry relish recipe so I will share here and paste in to the recipe thread.
Where was it??? Under the bed, behind the dusty board games?? In the bathroom closet behind the baby powder that has been there since 1998 and the shampoo no one uses because it smells like a pine forest? Maybe in the garage under the rusty hand saw that you only pull out when it is time to cut your Christmas tree??
Lucy's Orange-Cranberry Chutney recipe:
1 medium orange
1/2 cup orange juice (from the orange)
1 lb. fresh cranberries
2 cups sugar
1 medium clove garlic, peeled
1/2 cup raisins (I use golden raisins)
1 whole stick cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 cup diced crystallized ginger
1/2 teaspoon liquid red pepper (Tabasco)
1 16 oz. can mandarin oranges, drained (I chop them up a bit)
Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Cut orange rind in slivers to make 1/4 cup. Combine slivered rind, orange juice, cranberries, sugar, raisins, ginger, curry powder, Tabasco, cinnamon & garlic. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Continue to cook uncovered over moderate heat until cranberries pop open. Add oranges and chopped nuts. Heat thoroughly then remove from heat and allow to cool. Serve hot or cold as a condiment. Important: Discard cinnamon stick and garlic after cooking.
This will last in the refridgerator for several weeks, if you can make it last that long. I have it on everything from meat to sandwiches and even on toast.
I'll be the first to say that I am not usually a fan of any sort of cranberry orange relish.... but this definitely sounds like an improvement on the traditional type my Mom (and previously my Grammy) makes.
I am off to WW this morning and then a 6 mile run at the indoor track -- 72 laps.

I tried a new Gentle Yoga class yesterday that I really loved. I might be able to run several miles but my strength and flexibility could use a lot of improvement.
I enjoyed coaching these past few days and turn the coaching hat over to Jillian, who I believe is making her coaching debut!
