Wisdom teeth removed - Any advice?

OKAY OP? Where are you? My dd is still sleeping. She is in the recliner in the family room. We keep changing the gauze and doing ice every 20 mins.

She was pretty knocked out from what DH said. I was not there.

When DH saw her he said that she kept saying she was Pocohontas and waving to everyone.

Did DD finally wake up? My DD has been awake all day. I told her before the procedure that she'd be sleeping all day, but I think she's slept a total of 15 minutes. I think she'd rather have slept the day away, though!

Pocohontas...Love it! DD was totally out of it when they took me back to recovery. She kept pointing to the floor and told me that a dog was laying there. I'm not sure what that was about!

Hopefully tomorrow will be an easier day for our DDs!

Well your DD sounds like she is doing fine! Mine is slow to recovery.

She finally woke up around 4pm.

Now we did change her gauze and ice her and then she would drift back off to sleep. I will say that my dd is a sleeper so of course she is going to sleep.

Her left side is still a bit bloody and she is in a bit of pain. She took 1 pain pill when she got home. Then she preferred to take 3 Motrin at 5pm.

The only thing she has eaten is 1 yogurt. I am going to try and get her to eat some ice cream or something. She wants pudding! Gotta go...

My dentist said NO DAIRY PRODUCTS for the first two days due to nausea which I never had, he said it is just a percaution. My mouth is still hurting (read previous post on page three I think). My operation was three months ago but glad its finally healing now. I didnt sleep at all after my surgery and didnt ever say weird things. Hope they both heal fast!

Day two seems to be a little bit worse. She has some swelling and looks like a chipmunk. We're still doing the ice on/ice off thing every 30 minutes too. She said she's more sore than yesterday. I have to go back to work tomorrow, but I think she'll just be taking it easy again. The bad thing about her getting it done and DS23 not, I'll never get him to get his out after watching her!
