Hi everyone! We're from Madison, Wisconsin . We originally bought 230 points at OKW for $55 (resale), then 200 points at BWV for $62 (resale). We sold the OKW for $72 and bought 2 50-point contracts at AKV (direct) for $92. So now we have 200 BWV points and 100 AKV points. We love the Boardwalk View at BWV and the Club level at AKV. We don't mind studios and that's what we stay in most of the time.

Howdy neighbor! Those were great prices for sure! We typically stay in studios too, but we figure we can always stay a few less nights and get a 1 bedroom with the cushion we have.

We live in Minnesota metro area. We own at Saratoga and Aulani. We have used our points in DVC resorts and the Concerge Collection. Our last stay was last August, resort only, at an almost empty Jambo House and it was wonderful! Hoping to go again next spring. We usually get 3 bedroom grand villas and have our adult children and grandchildren with us.

We have only gone to Aulani once, before grandchildren. The long flight is tough and getting an extended time away for everyone is even tougher. If I had to do it over, I wouldn’t have purchased Aulani since we keep using the points at Walt Disney World. Although the good thing is that we bought in when they first came out and they erred on the dues calculation, so as long as we own the points we get an owners credit, so our Aulani annual dues are actually cheaper than Saratoga on a per point basis.

Have you had any issues booking at WDW with Aulani points? We bought at BCV mainly out of FOMO of not being able to stay there. It really seems to be tricky on what may or may not be available at 7 months.

It depends on what you want, both resorts and room type. We have always been able to get a three bedroom at seven months when needed. Studios are harder to get. Some resorts book up faster than others. We have preferred resorts, but are OK staying at any of the DVC resorts.

WI owners here. We own BCV, VGF, and in process of buying BLT resale (passed ROFR, so now just have to wait). We cancelled two trips in 2020 and have 2021 WDW (BCV), 2022 (VGC), and 2022 (VGF) planned. We still have our APs and are hoping for FP, TIW, and TOTWL announcements soon.

Congrats on your new purchase! The waiting during resales can be painful, but before you know it, you will have your BLT points and use them lol. I think when we bought, within minutes of points loaded we spent them and booked something.

When are you headed to Grand Cali? We are hoping to book June of 2022 there either in a studio or 1 bedroom, but we are keeping our fingers crossed it can happen at 7 months.

January. We have always done ok getting 1 br in early May or late January at Grand Cali. This time we waitlisted 1 night but picked it up ourselves the same day by watching availability. You just have to book immediately when online ressies start.
