I had the nite duty, 1:30 a.m. to 3:45 a.m. We were suppose to stay up till 4:00, but we haven't heard a word from any of the kids all nite. We watched the other chaperones from IL and Ohio walk around and listen at the doors of kids rooms. Had the you know what scared out of us, when the automatic sprinklers went on and off. Found this tidbit out, don't sit on the grass anywhere in Florida, they have a problem with Fire ants, even at Disney.
Woke by group of girls up at 7:00 a.m., Breakfast Buffy was from 8-9. At 9:00 a.m. they had to packed up and luggage out of their rooms. My first set of girls, not packed yet, 2nd set packed and luggage out the door, room checked, everything that belongs to hotel is in the room. Check, good to go. Did the other 2, same results.
Me and my girls were on the bus at 9:30 ready to go to Epcot.
A chaperone noticed a girl was missing. Being a chaperone, I got off the bus to go look for her, (Alpha Male), not part of his job. I found the girl with 7 other girls and a chaperone in a room laying and resting.. I told her everyone got down with check out and they are on the bus. The chaperone wasn't crabby with me, but she said "we are leaving at 10:00 a.m. The Alpha Males said 10:00. I said I know. They all left, and I doubled checked the room and locked the door.
I walked back last and Alpha Male says "Um, We are all waiting for you, we are all on the bus," I was so pissed and said, Hey, I went to go look for the missing girl. He totally ignored my answer and blew me off like I wasn't even worthy of an answer. I should of went up to him and said, "Um, What did you just say to me", but at that moment you just get so pissed off you say what ever comes to your mind.
Anyhow, we proceeded right to Epcot. All the kids got in one line, cause they handed them their ticket and took it right back. They were still afraid they would park hop. Some of us women asked if we could do Animal Kingdom part of the day and epcot later cause we stayed till illuminations. Alpha Male-NO!
I went through a different line and forgot to pick up my coupon for lunch or dinner, dumb me. After the kids gave back their Park hopper ticket, they gave them their coupon. This is the way they knew they had everyone's ticket.
We called Mr. Eggert to tell him, that I didn't get my voucher (which was OK with me, but we didn't want him to worry about a kid not turning in his ticket.) Later in the day I did get my ticket, but another chaperone forgot to pick hers up and they thought it was her not me, they sort of looked at me like I was lying. This was exactly why I didn't want to ask for it. Here they had a bunch left over, cause a few of our kids went with their parents, cause they were staying longer in Florida and left our group. So their system didn't work that day.
We proceded to Epcot and got Single tickets and got right on Test Track. We got Fast Passes for 2:40 p.m. and gave them away to my god daughter and her friends.
When we got our Fast Passes for Test Track, a Honey I shrunk the kids Fast Pass also came out for 12:00 nooner. We walked over to Canada and did Canada right away, and then we got hungry and walked all the way to China (hee, hee). I expected better food from China. Our Chinese Resturant in our town has better food. Went to Norway, did boat ride and shops, went to Mexico and did boat ride and got off and had a MARGARITA! I only drank about 1/3 of mine and it started to melt and tasted to syrupy.
Met my goddaughter and she was all hunched over walking and she said she felt like puking. I took her back to the bathroom and told her, don't worry just go! I gave her some tums, and she felt a little better.
We walked back over to the Golf Ball of Epcot, I'm sorry I don't have the correct name. I was so tired, I closed my eyes through most of it, but opened them when we got to the top. We came off the ride and we were going to go back to Test Track and I started to walk right out to the entrance. My brain was telling me to go home.
I turned on my walkie talkie and talked to my son and he wanted to meet me. I was so disoriented, I met my Aunt and and Uncle who are the same age as me, my aunt is the youngest, her sister is my husband's mom, (youngest-oldest) and they helped me find where my son was. The pointed to the Sun and Said East-West. Walk this way, sun to your back!
Found him and another kid was sick to his stomache, this time I had special medicine, cause I found one of our EMT's and told her the kids are sick to their stomaches. Took them over to Mexico, cut through from Test Track to Mexico by staying next to Customer Relations Building. Dropped them off and did each country by myself. It was fun just leisurly walking through each one.
I met up with a bunch of Chaperones at the UK, listening to the Beatles. We then walked to the next country where there was scottish music. It was around 7:00 p.m. and my son caught up to me. We went back to USA and got some chicken fingers with coupon, yuk! I got Apple Juice and a cookie with it and fries. I didn't want any caffiene in me so I could sleep on the bus tonite.
We came back to Canada and the majority of our group was their. I sat on a bench with other moms at 8:00 to wait for Illuminations. At around 8:45 a man with his 4 teenagers decided they wanted our spots. They wanted us to move. They kept standing right in front of us, sitting on the benches. They told us to turn the bench around. If we did that, we would of been looking into Canada's Rocky Mountains. One of our Alpha Males said, no, when the show starts, we are standing and turning around. This family was from Germany and we all know German words and when I talked back to them in German, they almost fell over
They couldn't understand why we sat on the benches saving our spots, and when I told them in German that you had to or you wouldn't see the show, they blushed! They were very polite, but they did push themselves or used up my comfort space.
Illuminations was good. On to the bus trip home!
