What is a good wireless router that I can use to travel with? I want it to power an acer a500 tablet, ipod touch, droid incredible phone, and a nintendo ds. I'd like to spend less than $45-50 if possible.
I bought a Netgear N300 from Best Buy and took it to OKW in the box without doing anything to it. I put the disk into my laptop, connected to the internet at OKW and it was set up in a matter of minutes. Very easy and the computer did all the work. It was secure with a password.
I too have a netgear and took it last week. Plugged in power cord, connected it with the room provided ethernet cable and away we went! Two laptops, an Ipad and no issues.

I got a pretty steady .8 mbps via wireless while at OKW last time. It was enough to stream Netflix on my Roku with "good-enough" quality. It was better than being stuck with Disney TV anyway. It is certainly enough for most other internet applications.
NetGear Recertified G router. Bought one a year ago and used it many times traveling. Works great. Can't beat the price. Only drawback is that it doesn't come with the CD or instructions but those are readily available online.
I picked up a NetGear on sale at Radio Shack a couple of years ago for around $25. User friendly and works great. While in the room we use it with our iPhones, iPod touch, MacBook, and a Windows laptop, all at the same time.
