Hi,

I am having problems with my router. It has been working fine for the last couple of months until this morning, when I disabled the firewall on it to download something. It rebooted the router and I got the message no or low connectivity. Now I can't connect on my laptop. It picks the router up no problem but all it keeps saying is acquiring network address & thats it. I have phoned the Belkin technical support who were unhelpful but they are apparently getting someone else to call back.

I was just wondering if anyone else could help.

Thanks.

If you have 'windows zero configuration' on your laptop then try enabling it. I had a problem like yours on my last desktop and using the zero thingy was the only way for it to admit a connection existed.

Silly question but how will I find out if I have that?

It seems a common problem as I have searched other sites and most suggest chucking away the router. Its still under warrenty so I might take it back, if Belkin don't call back.

Just to update, Belkin never called back so I took it back to Argos & changed it to a Netgear one and the very helpful technician helped me when I had a problem and *touch wood* everything is working fine.

I will be contacting Belkin & informing them what I think of their technical support.
