Wireless internet

We are going to OKW May 4th. I remember reading somewhere that DVC was putting wireless internet (for free) into their units in Spring 2008. Is it true? And will it be available in May??

Has anyone been there and used it?

If not, does anyone know where wireless internet is available at WDW??

We usually head over to McDonalds and use their free wireless to check in for our departing flight (we fly stand-by) and check out other things.

Wireless is coming to VB and HHI, but the free Internet at DVC resorts at WDW will not be wireless.

Based on Member feedback, the daily charge for wired high-speed Internet access for Members staying at Disney Vacation Club Resorts at the Walt Disney World® Resort is slated to be discontinued once system enhancements are in place this spring. Guests renting Disney Vacation Club accommodations will continue to pay the daily rate for access, and high-speed Internet access charges still apply to Members staying at non-Disney Vacation Club Resorts.

In related news, plans call for wireless service debut inside vacation homes at Disney's Vero Beach Resort and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort sometime this year.

They're not going to have it when I go there in June. I just know it.

I would swear... Mickey, Donald, and Goofy must be the DVC IT staff. I mean how hard is it to wire up a dozen high gain antennas? That's a rhetorical question...
