Wireless Internet at SSR?

We are heading down for our first DVC trip to SSR in late December. Can someone please tell me if there is wireless access at SSR, and if so, what is the cost? If there is not wireless access at SSR, where can I find it at WDW?

In the 2 BR there was also a connection behind the pullout couch. The couch is on wheels so you just pull it out a little, reach back and plug it in. You just have to sit on the edge of the couch so it will reach. But then you can look out the nice balcony windows while doing work.

If you need wireless, bring your own wireless router. I find the Apple Airport Express works well.

If you have an internet package on your phone you may be able to teather your laptop and get an internet connection that way. Att / Cingurlar has 3G here and i am currently sitting on my bed in the Grandstand connected at 384 Kps. It's not bad for browsing.

Some of the deluxe resorts (and CSR) have wireless internet service available for a daily fee...in the common areas, not in the rooms. SSR is not one of them.

We simply plug into the wired internet connection and then fire-up the computer browser. If I recall correctly, the first time you use it, you need to use Airport Setup Utility to set the security. Just let it walk you through the process, but I'd do it at home to be sure it worked correctly rather than waiting until you actually get to WDW.

Unfortunately, Disney hasn't quite caught up to the rest of the hotel/resort world when it comes to technology for wireless access. Not only is it wired, it's barely what you'd call "high speed". Maybe a little faster than dial up, i'd say.
