I am full of questions today!
Does anyone know if regular wireless headphones such as those found at Sears or Best Buy are compatible with a Toyota Sienna DVD player? We have 2 Toyota ones already and want some extra ones. The Toyota ones are pricey and wondering if I can use others? I cannot reach my Toyota sales guy. The book does not seem to say anything....
Thanks!

Try calling the parts department. That's where I get most of my answers from. Those guys have a ton of info. Please let us know when you find out. The Dodge ones are pricey too. :teeth: I hadn't thought about using different ones.

I don't have the DVD, just the read audio but I remember reading in the manual that regular headphones will work, but that there may be more interference then the Toyota ones. I haven't tried either.

Can someone tell me how much the Toyota ones are? I have been afraid to call and ask! LOL!

If your vehicle was originally equipped with infrared wireless headphone capability, then most independently sold headphones should work. You may want to check with the headphone manufacturer for compatibility, though. Just make sure that if you have an infrared system in your van, get infrared headphones. If you have an RF system, you need RF headphones. They must match.

I've had good luck with Unwired Headphones. They actually are the original equipment supplier for Nissan and Infiniti. I have a Tahoe, added an aftermarket overhead TV, and the Unwired ones work wonderfully. No interference (while in line of sight of the infrared signal), and hardly any noise. They even make child size headphones, with a "locking" battery compartment (not really lock and key, but the battery cover has to come off a certain way using a standard screwdriver), and an easier to use volume control. My adult size ones have noise cancellation. They work awesome.

I don't remember the web site I got them from, but for 2 noise cancelling headphones, and one child size headphone, ran me around $105 shipped.

Can Sienna Van wireless earphones be used in other Sienna vans?
