Winter

I would like to wish everyone a happy first day of winter!!! I started Winter off well with a track meet yesterday. I got 8 or 9 seconds on my 55 meters, coming in before a girl on my team who is usually faster than me. She was in a different heat though. I came in 25th out of about 140 girls. Then in the 4 x 2 (which is a relay run with four girls each running a 200 meter lap) I did really good, because my teammates and I really wanted a metal so around the first turn I was running as hard as I could. I was going third, and we were in 4th place. I ran as hard as I could and went right through these 2 girls and into 2nd place. In the 4 x 4 relay (I relay run with 4 girls each running 400 meters) I ran really hard again and it was just like in soccer; when I was running up the side of the field near the opposing goal and I heard someone running up on me, I just kicked it and went faster. So I made sure I stayed infront of this one girl, so we ended up in 3rd place.

You guys have no idea ... Katie was a BEAST last night! Haha.

I ran last night as well ... the mile, the 1000 (woo hoo 3rd in JV!), and the 4 x 400. Tomorrow we have Holiday Relays, so we'll see how we do!
