Winter trip to DVC question

Hello,

Prior to becoming a DVC member when staying onsite, Disney would not charge us for the days we were delayed, related to poor weather.(airports) I was wondering what happens with DVC points when you are hung up for a day or so with airport delays and miss your check-in date. Do they go back into your account...or do you lose them?? Our 04 trip we are coming in Nov so I am not as concerned, however when we always travel in Dec there are 1 or 2 day weather delays and lost fun!

I have heard that people from northern states getting delayed due to bad weather and losing points because of it.
On a more recent note, I believe people who were delayed due to Charley got their points back so I guess it's all up to Disney on a case by case basis.

You could shack up non-DVC the first night to help allieviate this problem. This then gives you a 1 day buffer.

Those snow storms in Orlando can be a pain. But at least we got a waterpark out of the last one.
