Wondering about the minigolf course. What is the best way to get there from BWV? We will be staying during Christmas this year and thinking this might be a break from the crowds of the parks? Any one been, have pictures/suggestions?

Take the bus to Blizzard Beach. It's a short walk from the bus stop. I think there is a DVC discount but I don't remember what it is (10%? 15%? 20%?).

You could go to Fantasia Gardens across from the Swan. My kids love that one!!:thumbsup2

Second the Fantasia Gardens suggestion depending on the age of the people playing. The one at Blizzard Beach is basically a flat course with not too much challenge while Fantasia does have some hills etc.

If I remember Fantasia Garden is also out in the open and very hot and sunny!! I'm not a sun girl, so I really like the Winter Summerland. Either way they are all fun.

Winter Summerland has two courses, one Winter Course and one Summer Course. Both are very similar except for the theme.

Fantasia Gardens also has two courses, one more themed and playful and the other more serious, almost adult in appearance.

If BB is closed, I'm not sure there is a bus there or not. But the AK bus should stop at W-S if you ask the bus driver.

DVC members get a 15% discount, but AP holders get BOGO. If I remember correctly.

Here are some photos and a small report from a blog I did last week on the DIS.

Our first stop of the day was a round of miniature golf at Winter-Summerland. We took the Blizzard Beach bus from Old Key West. Winter Sumerland is right next door to Blizzard Beach. This is one of two minature golf courses on Disney World property. It's themed after Christmas. There is a winter course and a summer course. We chose to play the summer course because the winter course had a long wait. Both are about the same level of difficulty. The courses are in great shape.

Here are some photos of our round and the course.

As I mentioned the course is beautiful right down to the landscape and flowers.

AP holders get the best discount which is 50%. I can't recall what the DVC discount is.

Thanks for all the responses!! I know Fantasia is close, but I thought with us being there during Christmas, the theme at Winter Summerland would be perfect!! The photos are great!!

Are these courses typically crowded during busy seasons at the parks?

We went on Thanksgiving day two years ago and there weren't very many people there. We played both courses and had a blast.
