Winter Storm Warning!

Latest report says 5-10 inches for us.

But the worst part of our forecast is that change to freezing rain/sleet early tomorrow morning.

TWO OR MORE FEET OF SNOW for tomorrow!!! Blizzard conditions too. Thank god I have the day off from work to play with my kids and puppy!!

Just about half of IN is under a blizzard warning right now. DH's hour drive to work took him an hour and forty minutes. They worked two and a half hours then called it quits. There are quite a few people who works with DH that also live in our area. They've formed a convoy of sorts for the trip home, just in case someone goes in the ditch. It's NOT looking pretty here right now.

Our family lives in Hamilton County, so we are under that blizzard warning also. My kids have their snow day(which now has to be made up the first Friday in March), and my DH is home from work. He works by the airport, so it would have been a terrible drive for him! I don't think I have ever seen so much snow in my life here!!! It is crazy! Wonder if my kids will have another snow day tomorrow:confused3 ? It is suppose to blow and drift tonight.

I've got 6 inches here and it's still coming down. I'm so glad I came to work today to DIS. The only people calling are telemarketers. I have to leave shortly for my other job though. No internet there. It's going to be a long day. Hopefully I'll get to leave early or not have to go in at all.

I'm on the border of getting 8-12 inches and worst part about it is I drive to work tonight towards the warning area.

My county isn't under the 8-12 zone but I'm maybe a mile from county that is. I look for us to be under level 2 if we aren't already.

Upstate New York here...

We have a winter storm warning from 3:00 p.m. this afternoon until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday. They say we could get anywhere from 6 inches to 2 feet depending on the track the storm takes :confused3

We already have our share of snow, but about an hour north of me, the poor people there got 134 inches in one week. The kids were sliding off the banks from the roofs!! It is crazy. No school for the whole week, state of emergency, the whole deal. I am glad I don't live there!

I have a 35 mile commute to work on country roads so I hope we either get a dusting of snow or get hammered so I can stay home :rotfl: But the kids would be bummed not to have their Valentines party at school.......... mother nature will us know soon enough :sad2:

I keep repeating:

78 days till Disney and warm sunshine
78 days till Disney and warm sunshine
78 days till Disney and warm sunshine

Keep warm and safe everyone !!!!!

I'm near INDPLS, IN and we got 5" from last night to this morning. Right now, we have sleeting/freezing rain. We're supposed to get another 3-5" tonight. :scared1:

Its amazing how one state can get such a variety of wintery weather:

Nothing here YET but we're due for at least 8" they say. We live in the country and there is a stretch of road across from our house where snow blows across miles of fields and ends up alongside our road. We have only gotten maybe a foot of snow so far this winter, but we have banks 10 feet high. Front loaders and giant snow blowers come periodically and cut back the banks or they would be totally out of control. I shudder to think how tall the banks will be in a couple days.

We are supposed to get 4 to 8" here in sothern CT. A witery mix and High winds. Be careful out there:eek:

It's snowing BUCKETS here today. We actually closed the library where I worked - so I get to enjoy a snow day with DS. Yipee!! We measured the snow about 30 minutes ago and we've had 6 inches already. It's starting to blow like crazy. I'm guessing we'll get at least 6 more inches of snow. DH just ventured out to work - and now I'll worry until he gets home tonight. I think I'll make some chili - and bake cookies with DS.

This weather is making me really, really look forward to our Florida trip in March.

noon news just said 15 to 30" between now and Thursday midnight - (with 30+ inces starting somewhere east of Syracuse region and then east).....THEN they are talking Lake Effect possibly for Thurs into Fruday!!!!:scared1: yikes!

I just want DH home from DC tonight!!!! - otherwise who knows when he will get back!!!!:sad1:

We're supposed to get 5-8 inches today/tonight. It isn't snowing right now, but it's supposed to start soon. I kept my ds4 home this afternoon from preschool, because I don't want to get caught in it when I came to pick him up.

Even though my dh was slightly peeved about it, but I told him if HE wanted to come during his break from work and drive in blizzard conditions to drop off/pick up ds4 from preschool, be my guest. ;) lol

I am in Central Indiana, northeast of Indy, and we are under the Blizzard Warning. I am safe, warm and happy in my house, watching it blow and snow all over. My work closed for the day, so I have nowhere to be and I am loving it. DD and I are watching the weather channel all day just to hear the weather man say that we will be getting 12-15 inches of snow!!! Yay!!! Hope everyone else is safe at home, or arrives safe at their destinations. Snow's only fun if no own gets hurt.

Amy
