Winter storm coming-- wish I could escape!

Sleet, ice, & snow are headed our way. Lots of schools already cancelled classes for today and tomorrow and the storm isn't even here yet. Our meterologists have been playing the "hunker down" music like Orlando gets before a hurricane. They are predicting widespread power outages due to ice accumulation on power lines. Last time a storm like this hit, many were w/o power for more than 10 days.

I just want to escape to WDW now-- not in May.

I'm with you....just whisk me away to WDW.
We're far enough north in Kansas that we won't get the brunt of the weather, but it's definitely coming. It's been a really cold, snowy winter and I'm sooooo ready for spring.

We have a storm headed our way too. They aren't saying yet on how much snow we might get, but from the looks of it, Saturday could be interesting. I'll be hunkered inside all weekend.

I know how you feel.

It's only 66 degrees here.

Brrrrr!

ok....I know......but dont you expect it from anyway?;)

I live in Indiana and they're already talking about the "huge storm brewing over Oklahoma" that might hit here over the weekend if it takes one of the two predicted paths.

Yuck.

Sorry that it's more definite for you.

They play the "hunker down" music when it RAINS down here. Just rain-not even thundershowers. We get drama with every drop of water that falls from the sky.

My mom called me this afternoon to tell me the weather man said 6-10 inches of snow!! are you kidding me...I moved to Va from Wis to get away from snow...but i guess the farther from the coast the more snow to expect. Hope everyone stays warm.:coffee: {cocoa all around}

We have a winter storm coming too. It is supposed to start snowing tomorrow evening and continue all day Saturday. Yuck!

Same storm coming this way tomorrow. I'm so glad I'm off this weekend!!

Storm is almost here. We're supposed to get 6-10". :sad2: I have a big scrapbook crop Friday night and all day Sat. that's already paid for. They've said that they probably won't cancel so I may be driving in that white stuff. blah!

I knew when I saw the headline you must be in Oklahoma. :goodvibes My car is ice encased right now just from driving home [covered parking at work]. The devastating ice storm from December of 2007 has all of us Oklahomans on edge.

I'm in Western KY. We are expecting 1-2 inches of ice and then 6-10 inches of snow on top of that. yuck. What really gripes me is that there is a winter storm WARNING. I teach. They STILL haven't called off school for tomorrow. They probably won't until I have already gotten up, gotten ready, and am on my way out the door at dark-thirty a.m. :headache:

wah wah wah. I know. Just let me wallow for a bit, will ya? ;)

Wouldn't expect anything else.

It's not even 66 degrees inside my house!

Mine either. They are predicting 8-12 inches here - we rarely get more than an inch or two. It's supposed to hit on Saturday. My first thought was what a pain, my second thought was maybe I'll get snowed in and won't be able to go to work - I can stay home and have a Fringe marathon.

Need to get hunker down snacks.

I'd give up my left hand if I could move to a warm place. I would SO take 95 degrees with high humidity in Orlando over 6 degrees, dry and windy. Texas would be fine...Alabama...Nevada...it just doesn't matter much (but Orlando has theme parks!)...I just want to be warm.

It's cold and the snow continues to fall as I type and it just sucks.
