Winter Specials?

When does Disney usually post their winter specials? Or do they even have winter specials? We are planning to go in December and I don't know if I should go ahead and make reservations now or wait to see if a special comes out.

Not sure when codes, if any, are released but you could always book now and call back if a code DOES come out.

I think last year a special code came out sometime in August. My sister got an e-mail postcard with a PIN for the winter time period. I have booked rooms with a AAA rate for late Nov./early Dec. Still hoping for a code to apply for a better rate but I booked with a rate I know I can live with if no codes come out.
