winter park/celebration

is winter park and celebration worth the side trip. want to spend a few days out of the theme parks and i heard these were nice places to visit. any good restaurants here, shopping etc

Cafe D'antonio's is a great restaurant in Celebration. Reasonably priced. Also the Towne Tavern is a great bar/restaurant. Locals go there.

Celebration has:
Starbucks
Market Street Cafe
Town Tavern
D'Antonios (Italian)
Columbia (Cuban/Spanish)
Seiti (Sushi)
Imperium (Wine and tapas)
A soon-to-open Thai place.

At Celebration's Water Tower shopping center, you'll find:
Angelina's
Joe's Crab Shack
French deli
Quiznos

We enjoyed our short side trip to Winter Park. Ate at a nice Italian restaurant. It has a very quainte down town area.

Both are nice. Celebration's shopping district is small but has some nice restaurants and good ice cream. Winter Park's shopping discrict is very nice and much larger. Good array of shops, excellent food (the best Cuban sandwiches can be found at this little out of the way dive on a side street), and quiet walks. If you want one or the other, I would choose Winter Park but if you can do both have a good time.
