Winter in Chicago

We are going to be in Chicago visiting relatives between Christmas and New Years. What is there to do up there at that time of year? We've never been anywhere north of Texas during the winter so what should we expect?

I've been told that the aquarium's pretty good. And I've heard of the Navy Pier but do they have anything going on there during the winter?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My BIL and SIL work on a ship called the Odyssey. It is docked at Navy Pier. You can go out on a lunch, dinner or midnight cruise and have a wonderful dinner and wonderful entertainment. It is especially nice during the holidays. They are both entertainers on the ship and really put on a nice show.

There are many other things to do at Navy Pier, also.

Also, Chicago is beautiful that time of year with all of the shops decorated.

The museums at the museum campus are always wonderful, Michigan Avenue, any time of the year is super, spactacular then, as is State Street and Marshall Fields.

I'm not going to add anything to these guys. Just to tell you Chicago is a wonderful city. The museums are great. We love the Field Museum. Have a great time.
