Winter Forecasts?

What is the forecast for this winter? COld or snow or both??

Of course I mean more then usual...

It's weird I should read your post today!

Just last night before bed the newscasters
were saying that this winter is supposed to
be even more cold and with more snow than
last winter - and I live in the 'burbs near Philly,
where we had -30 windchill off/on for WEEKS!

Our heating bill for natural gas alone was over $700!!!!
And that was for only Jan, Feb, & March,
not including the electric bill to keep the heater running!
DH & I are now in the process of doing some
work to prevent such high heating bills if
the forecasters are correct - it KILLED us financially
because there was no way to plan for TRIPLE
utilities after paying for an adoption...
So there's my $$$ sob story, thanks for listening

Let's pray that we only get a "normal" winter??

What color are catepillars? The more black they have the harsher the winter is supposed to be.

We found an all black caterpillar today at work. Yikes!

Well the Farmer's Almanac was wrong for where I live. It was a cold summer in the Midwest and September has been warmer than normal.
