just saw that there are fall discounts for rooms and free dining plan options out for dates into the end of December. we are going jan 5-11. does anyone know if there are ever room discounts or free dining offered during the dates we're going? we've never tried to get a discounted room/get free dining before, so I've never paid attention to those offers or what is out when. thanks for any info!

Yes, there have been discounts offered in the past for January as things slow down a bit after New Years. Here is a link from mousesavers that shows what discounts have been offered in the past, the dates they were offered, and the booking windows. HTH :).

We are traveling in January as well. Look for discounts for that time period to most likely be released sometime in October. Rumor has it that free dining will not be offered for January, but that the offers will be a room only discount or Stay/Play/Dine package (which I believe means that adults pay child prices for tickets and dining plan).

Keep an eye on the Discounts forum and you shouldn't miss it. :thumbsup2

January is one of the slowest times of the year, so discounts may be offered. You can increase your changes of getting discounts by signing up for the free Disney DVD planner. Also, developing a relationship with a good Disney travel agent can help you get discounts before they're all scooped up.

The time you are going is marathon time. Marathoners can get package deals through Disney, but I'm not sure others do.

Thanks for all the great information! I'll keep my eyes open and keep checking! Thanks again!:smickey:
