Winter discount question... POR, April 12

Booked the winter discount at POR, checking in April 12, leaving April 19.

Room rate is 203.xx for April 12, with all other days showing at 292.xx. (Plus taxes, etc) for royal rooms.

I thought I had read somewhere that if you checked in on 4/12, the discount would apply for the duration of the stay? I'm thinking I misread?

It depends on the offer. They often change the wording for each special offer. You are correct though. After the 12th, it is rack rates.

If it's a room only offer, then the offer will only apply to the dates that fall within the offer.

I think Free dining is the one that you are thinking of. If you check in during that window you are covered for the duration. Hopefully the second wave of discounts released (hopefully) this week will cover the remaineder of your trip.

I agree with wendybeth75. What you are thinking of is free dining not the room only discounts. In the past if the beginning of your trip falls within the free dining dates then all of your trip would get free dining (has to do with the way the Disney system handles the dining plan). But this doesn't happen with a room only discount.
