Nope. It’s a hotel themed to where I live… no interest.
That's what I figured so I thought it was odd they'd even mention it.

I remember the OKW “fire sale” had the incentives capped early because they were EXTREMELY robust @ 300 points. My guide also referred to as a "flash sale" when I e-mailed her about it. She also noted that she cannot guarantee they won't sell out before Feb. 9th, the stated end date of the "flash sale."
I mean, they gotta do something to gin up some interest, I suppose. And, they never like hearing that you're going to wait to decide. I'm skeptical that they will sell a whole lot of points with this incentive - it's a decent incentive for a sold out resort, but you can still save quite a bit going resale. It's also only available as an add-on, not to new members. That said, I suppose you never know. I think I've convinced myself to wait until I finish our trip to CCV that is 1/31-2/7. If we enjoy it as much as I think we will, I imagine I'll be opening my wallet for some direct CCV points. If they do decide to pull the sale, well, I guess it wasn't meant to be.
I feel like $160 w. MB is what starts to get people in the “fire sale” price point….Not sure there is a “fire sale” in this round.

Wouldn’t that be RIV now at 200 points? 235 per point minus 26 per point. 500 off for D23 plus MB, my math gets me to 186.5 per point.I feel like $160 w. MB is what starts to get people in the “fire sale” price point….
but with inflation since the end of 2021 that would be at $187ish per share with MB or $207 without….
I think even 150 RIV will get you close.Wouldn’t that be RIV now at 200 points? 235 per point minus 26 per point. 500 off for D23 plus MB, my math gets me to 186.5 per point.
When I ran the numbers on my 300 point RIV purchase in August, I was at about $179/point (factoring in MB and credit card cash back). But, not sure whether people consider a "fire sale" on a restricted resort to be different than a "fire sale" on an O14 resort that was previously sold out.Wouldn’t that be RIV now at 200 points? 235 per point minus 26 per point. 500 off for D23 plus MB, my math gets me to 186.5 per point.
It's strange that they are close to RIV incentive for 100 points, but then no love at 150.When I ran the numbers on my 300 point RIV purchase in August, I was at about $179/point (factoring in MB and credit card cash back). RIV has also been in active sales a long time, so I'm not sure even a final sales push with an extra $10/point off would move a ton of extra points for existing members - I sort of think most members who want RIV points have probably gotten them by now. OTOH, if they put 150 Poly points on sale for $185/point, I think those would really move - but, I also don't think they need to put those on sale to sell out PIT, so I sort of think we won't see that either.
I wish I'd had the guts to buy a larger chunk of points all at once. Buying piecemeal in 50-100 point increments is a good way to spend top dollar on your points! I'm always thinking "100 more and then I'm done"When I ran the numbers on my 300 point RIV purchase in August, I was at about $179/point (factoring in MB and credit card cash back). Yeah, the big one was the Welcome Home weeks incentives at the end of summer - $29/point incentive on 150 points. If you used a D23 Gold $500 off, I think that put you at just under $183/point before factoring in any credit card cash back. It does seem like that boosted sales some, but not sure anyone was calling that a "fire sale." I'll go ahead and predict that I don't think we'll see another price that low on 150 points at RIV before it sells out. It's strange that they are close to RIV incentive for 100 points, but then no love at 150.
I hear you. I just couldn't bring myself to stop looking at the next incentive level each time I bought my RIV points. I was like, well, if I just boost up, then I get that much off!I wish I'd had the guts to buy a larger chunk of points all at once. Incidentially, it looks like they bumped up the "we trust you" interest rate from 9% to 9.5%. Maybe this is the wrong set of charts and there is another one with a lower rate....Not sure there is a “fire sale” in this round.
Good question and not certain about borrowing rates. My guide sent this the day the incentives dropped.Incidentially, it looks like they bumped up the "we trust you" interest rate from 9% to 9.5%. Maybe this is the wrong set of charts and there is another one with a lower rate....
