We are going to WDW on Nov 29 - Dec 08 and I was wondering what kind of clothes should I take for my kids ( 6yDS, 4yDS and 3yDD)? We live in PR so I'm used to the hot weather.

We wore shorts and t-shirts. The kids needed sweatshirts for the first two hours of the morning and the again in the evening. We took jeans and lightweight jackets but never needed them.

You would be safe to pack jeans and a lightweight jacket/sweatshirt for everyone just in case.

we were there in November and we needed lightweight jackets or sweatshirts in the evening. One night we went to FANTASMIC and we FROZE. I think it was because it was windy and the show sort of sprayed us. We ended up buying beach towels and wrapping ourselves up in them. I would bring light weight jackets and maybe a pair of windpants (they can be rolled up real small to fit in a backpack). have fun. The good thing it the crowds were very very light when we were there. I would love to go back at that time again but nope, DH and I are both teachers and we can only go on school vacations.

Definately take long pants, sweatshirts and a lightweight jacket for everyone, as well as shorts and t-shirts. You never know what the weather will do -- it could be hot that time or year, or it could be cold. It will be cool in the mornings and at night though, so you'll probably want to dress in layers.

We find in the winter that layers are the way to go. A few t's ,a few turtle necks, and a few sweats. Mostly jeans but a few shorts and even the swin suit. In several winter trips we only really needed a big coat one night. We had them that trip because it was so cold at home and we had left from work and school. I would take a mid weight jacket if you have one but not invest a lot of money if not. WE LOVE the heavy weight WDW seat shirts we bought there one cold night!!!

We were at WDW the 2nd week in December last year and we were not prepared for the cold weather. The first day we got there it was about 70 degrees and then 2 days later the highs were only in the upper 50's and we had 3 nights of lows in the 30's. We wish we brought our winter coats, gloves, hats etc... But coming from Chicago we didn't think we needed them. We had to buy Mickey Santa Hats for all of us since our ears were frozen, and luckily they sold gloves too. We had so many layers on, but we sure wish we brought our winter coats. We are going down again the week of Thanksgiving so hopefully it will be warmer. We will be packing our coats this time!!!

I've been in 'Dec twice...my advice is BRING EVERYTHING....I've had 40-50's I've had high 80's and 60's and rain...you just have to plan for almost everything....layers are a good suggestion..

It looks like a little bit crazy  the weather on those dates!!

Bring polar fleece for your layers ;) Seriously, if you are from a warm weather, tropical environment, 50 degrees can feel like 30 :cold:

A friend of mine went to WDW in early December and reported that they hit a freak cold snap and needed of all things... mittens. I remember her telling me about her exasperation trying to find mittens in or near WDW.

I think the advice to dress in layers is good.

That's why I'm asking!! Here in Puerto Rico if the temperature drops to 76 degrees, you see everybody with light jackets. So 50 degrees will be definitely like 30 for me. :cold: and what about the pools! people told me that they are heated, but what about once you have to get out of the pool!

We were there in march of this year and it was colder then than it had been on some of our January trips-like 44 and raining all day-just miserable weather! Definitely bring your coat, it's easier than packign a bunch of sweatshirts.

As for the pool, well, one day it hit 60 and we wore our coats to the pool, jumped in, then got out and sat in the hot tub until we were warm enough to put our coats back on and run back to the room....
