This board is SO motivating! I now want to do something else along with the WATP tapes and WW. Is anyone familiar with the Winsor Pilates tapes? I was folding laundry yesterday afternoon and an infomercial about this style of Pilates came on. Today when I was shopping at Target, there was the 3 tape set! Sounds like fate, eh? That or I am crazy! LOL ;) Before I crack the cellophane open, has anyone tried this? TIA! :)

I have Winsor Pilates and I LOVE them!!!!!! It does work and it is worth it!!! :)
I still do the basic workout, sometimes through in the advanced...the advanced has some moves I still cannot do...but they offer modifications for everything.
I find that it does work and it is really convenient....I can take the plan with me and do it anywhere! I say go for it!
I recommend doing it at least 3times a week....I rotate it with Tae-bo and aerobics.....

I just ordered the tapes last week. I am hoping to do them in between the days when I don't go to Curves.

Well I am glad to hear someone has tried them and they are working. It makes me feel better that I won't be wasting my money.

Cindy~ Good luck and PM me if you ever have questions....if you do them correctly, you will notice a difference....especially in your abs......

Thanks for your reply, Kamy! I decided to try it right away. I did the beginner's step by step, then tried the 20 minute workout (with modifications of course, since I have too much of 'me' to wrap myself into a little ball ;) ). I didn't *think* that it was that difficult so I went ahead and did the WATP 2 mile tape immediately following. Ouch! :eek: Ha ha ha!

I think doing the pilates CORRECTLY will be the biggest challenge! I am looking forward to a new slimmer me! :smooth:

Eeeek! I have this tape set and have only done the introduction one twice - LAST YEAR!!!

You guys are motivating me to dust the tapes off this week! Maybe even today! :) Thanks!
 
Give them a try again, TigH! I am definitely feeling it today. I can't see my abs, but I can feel them. ;) I am one motivated woman! This board is the BEST!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
 
I'm another fan of the Winsor Pilates!! I've been doing them for about 5 weeks now (mainly the 20 minute workout) and really do notice a difference in my abs and behind!! Now I won't say that i've had the results like the infomercial people but I think if i had been doing the advanced tape more often these past weeks that I could. But i'm still happy with what i've been seeing. Form really does count with these though and I still find myself adjusting here and there.

Also ditto what Kamgen said!! I have the basic workout memorized and can do it without the tape - like to my favorite program :p and I do plan on doing it when DH and I go away next weekend. You really can do it anywhere and by just going exercise to exercise you can cut the time down to about 15 minutes! Let me know if there are any question!
 
I am gonna have to go out and get these. Are they only available through the infomercial/website or are they avaiable at stores. I know you can get varying kinds of pilates but I want to stick with the Windsor.

Thanks for the additional info, CrzyforPiglet. I have done the 20 minute workout two nights in a row now. Any suggestions on attaining that perfect form? I have an awful lot of "me" to work around. :rolleyes: I am trying though! I am just curious if I should be doing more of the modifications or pushing more to mimic them (and perhaps veer from form). Any and all opinions welcome! :)
 
Definitely the more you do them and the stronger your powerhouse becomes the better you'll get. I still have to take note of my breathing and suck that belly button in. Also on the side kick series I'm now able to put my top hand on my hip to make sure it stays in line - you definitely feel a difference!! I think before I was letting my hip roll forward too much. Little tweaks here and there! I also find it helps to strive to do one additional exercise each week from the advanced tape. Little by little and you'll get there!
