See, everyone always says SAB at the BCV, but for us, it was our least favorite! Even our kids didn't like it. Personally I don't like that you have to walk out of the pool area to acess the slide entrance. my kids hated the sand bottom because they said it wasn't soft like real sand.

. I didn't mind it. I just don't think it is all it is hyped up to be. I do love the BW area so BCV is great because of it's location.
As a family our favorite has to be the new Kidani Village pool area at AKV. There is a kids slide and a bigger one. The area is a great size with lots of chairs in the sun and shaded areas. You can get room service delivered there and there is a bar with yummy drinks, snacks and some food items. The pool is zero entry and a perfect size. they do activities and have a DJ at certain times. The water play area for the kids is the best! We all had a great time there!(our kids are 12 and 7) The best thing about AKV is if you are not going to any parks(which is what we often do on our stays at this resort) there is so much to do. Activities, animals, community hall, game room, tours, shops, great food, and so much more. It's the perfect resort for a "no parks" trip, IMHO.
I do have to add that we also really liked the pool area at SSR. The main pool area is great, but the Grandstand area was a lot of fun for the kids.
DH and I are going on an adults only, no parks trip in a few days. for us we are looking forward to our stay at SSR to enjoy swimming in the pool in the Congress Park section. Love that pool and the view of DtD. We love it there for the location to DtD, room decor, food, and the pools.
