Does anyone know when the stem to stern wine tasting is on the western cruise? I am trying to make up an itinerary and figure out when I need to schedule brunch, tea, etc... I don't want to miss the wine tasting as I couldn't do it last time, I was pregnant. Also, does anyone know the brunch times and high tea time? Thanks so much!

Last week the wine tasting was on the two sea days (Monday & Thursday, I believe at 1:30 PM. Palo brunch is 10:30 - 1 or 2. Don't know about the tea

Thanks LV, wine tasting was 2:30-3:30 PM, not 1:30 - 2:30! And yes, get your tickets early upon embarkation.

WT is great and does get sold out so make your ressies right away!!

Where do you make this reservation? TIA

My DH bought the ticket at Guest Services. It was great, and I will be doing it again...

The last post was incorrect...he bought the ticket the same place he bought tickets for excursions.

High tea reservations are made in a separate line where Palo reservations are made. They were made in Rockin' Bar D starting at 12 noon on embarkation day. My wife went to make them at 1:30 and they were "sold out" on the Jan 3, 2004 Western Magic.

The Navigator for the Jan 5, 2004 Western Magic Day at sea says that the Stem to Stern Wine Tasting is 2:30 - 3:30 PM and to get tickets ($12.00) from Guest Services. This also sells out fast so get them early on the 1st day of sailing.

Sorry about the wine tasting time in my previous post, it was 2:30 - 3:30 (thanks LV) not 1:30 - 2:30. I second that you need to get ticks early upon embarkation

Mark, I want soooo bad to be back on the ship. Great seeing you at the meet. (Guess it was OK to keep the Navigators from the ship, huh?)

If things go right I will be back in Florida (at least) the 2nd week of Feb.

Wine tasting is worth it. I was on the Eastern 12-27 cruise, and I had no problem getting tickets the day before. But I may have been lucky. There was notice in the Navigator Sunday (the edition we got in our cabin Saturday night), and it was Monday afternoon. I got my tickets Sunday afternoon.

Melissa (neverlandclub) - we are on the Easter cruise with you, and we'll will be doing the WT also. We did it on our last cruise and really enjoyed it so we want to do it again. If you and DH want to maybe we can do it together. We are in a suite so we can book it through concierge. If you guys are interested maybe we can book all of us at the same time. Just let me know.

Make sure they show you how to open a Champagne bottle using only a wine glass. I assume they do it during every tasting, but just in case, make sure they do.

When I tried to go on the first sea day, it was sold out but I didn't try until the same day. The only problem with this experience is that it coincides with "Pool Games" (Quiet Cove) which I really enjoy. I obtained my tickets at Guest Services.

Sounds good to me. We are planning to book through concierge as well ( we have a 1br and a separate family suite) for the second sea day. I am trying to look at posts and old navigators to tenatively plan all my activities and to let grandma know when she will be babysitting my youngest. (I am hoping to take her to High Tea on the first day at sea.)
So much to do. I am sooooooo excited! Would the second WT work for you guys? I also intend to try and do the Wendy's Tea with my daughters afterward- hope I am not too buzzed. LOL

Hi Melissa,

I forgot you are in a suite also. I should just look at my list, since I am the one doing it.:scratchin I think the second sea day should be fine. I also need to check to see if MIL wants to do High Tea. If she does, we will probably be at that on Monday also, and I have to do Tea with Wendy with DD. Maybe I will make DH do Tea with Wendy this time, since I did it last year.::yes:: I will touch base with you on our cruise meet post and maybe we can make some plans.
