Is there any wine tasting around the world in Epcot? I don't want to get trashed. I am just looking for wine samples in each country. We are going last week of October. Do they offer this and how much is it?

Epcot "Wine Walk" Get a "passport" from either Italy, France or Germany. Cost is $20 and allows you two small glasses of wine in each of these countries. Enjoy--- google Epcot wine walk

Since you're going to be there during the Food and Wine Festival, I would assume they'll have something in relation to that.

VERY small glasses :sad2:

That's sounds perfect. Exactly what I was thinking. Thanks!

Have to share a funny story on us. We did the Wine Walk on our last trip and bought a bottle in France to take home. We packed it very carefully and felt grateful that it survived the trip. Then found out it was available at the local grocery store and Sam's Club.

If you are there during food and wine, just about every booth has a wine of some sort, I'm guessing they are about a 2 oz pour. There is also the wine walk that another poster mentioned. There are also separate tastings in Italy, France and Germany. I can't remember how many you get in each country but I think it's tasting 3 in Italy that are small 2 oz pours, one larger pour in France and 3 or 4 pours in Germany. We've never done the wine walk but we've done the individual tastings in each country. I was at food and wine last year and tasted just about every booth and also attended a really nice food and wine pairing seminar and a Moroccan dinner and wine pairing as well as a couple of the smaller seminars in the center over the course of 4 days.

Unfortunately, that's not funny at all. It is typical. The wines poured at Epcot are not unique in any respect. They are mass produced, mass marketed, low end wines that can be found at Publix for $7-$15 per bottle. Most guests are not familiar enough with French, German or Italian wines to know. But they are comparable to the American pavilion pouring Woodbridge if it had a wine bar, or, if there were an Australian pavilion, it pouring Yellow Tail.

Hmm. So I can taste more authentic wines in the individual counties without doing thre wine walk? How much is this for the few tastings in Italy and Germany and the full glass in France? Thanks everyone fortune input.

It's not that the wines are not authentic, it is just that they are mediocre at best. Nothing wrong with mediocre ( I've been known to buy a box or two of "good" wine), but the price per ounce of these mediocre wines is eyebrow raising. I don't regret doing a wine walk, glad to have experienced something different at Epcot, but I would not pay to do one again.

In other words, you'd be just as well off doing a "wine walk" in your local wine and spirits store.

Now, if you're interested in a "tequila walk," there's only one place in Epcot to get that...

Where can you do this in EPCOT??? Sounds pretty cool.

The Cava de Tequila in the Mexico pavilion offers regular and premium tequila tasting flights. Three samples on each, along with a "salsa fresca" to cleanse between samples. Expensive, but worth it if you like tequila.

Not recommended for ECV drivers.

Oh sorry, I thought you were asking about the wine walks......although I bet you could have figured out the location if the tequila flights on your own :teeth:

My closest friend is a sommelier who works in a liquor store and went to F&W last year. (He had Dom Perignon with his brother there.) He said that other people he knows ask him if his store carries stuff they found in WDW, and his store doesn't carry much that is found in the parks. (his store has a great selection, it's been rated the best liquor store in the county) I also know that some wines are packaged just for Disney.

I plan to do the Wine Walk with my mom next week. (I did a German wine tasting last year, but lost the tasting page.)
