I just was reading a recent post regarding bringing your own wine, corking fee, etc.

If you purchase a bottle of wine or a package through DCL, is there still a corking fee? Because the package seem very reasonable, but if you add 18 to each bottle now it isn't.

Also, how do you obtain your wine package? Do you get all the bottles at once?

Thanks for any help on this question!:thumbsup2

The packages include the corking fee. You can open multiple bottles in one night, and they will hold whatever is not consumed for another night. You can also apply the value of a bottle from your package towards a more expensive bottle if so desired. At the end of the cruise you can take UNOPENED bottles off the ship (they provide a carrier).

No corking fee as DCL sells it to you.
You pick a wine bottle each night from a list.
You can pick more than one each night and also order one in Palo if you have dinner there.

Okay, so with the wine package they assume you are having it with dinner. What if you wanted a bottle in your cabin? Or open 1 or 2 at dinner, then can you bring the rest to your cabin.

Thanks!

Where can I find details on the Wine package and what you get with it? Cost etc.?

Awesome thanks! Is it better to pre-order? Or can I get the package when I arrive?

You can order the package when you board the ship, they sell it at the Promenade lounge on deck 3, you can order it during lunch the first day in Parrot Cay and you can order it at dinner.
Don't worry you won't miss them selling the wine package and if you don't see anyone selling it just ask your asst. server at dinner.

You can have the leftover (or an unopened bottle from your package) delivered to your stateroom. If it's a white wine, it will be delivered on ice. Wine glasses will also be provided.

Hi there,

We were on the Wonder over Christmas and we were running late for the show and I just was about to order a drink from the server when I asked out of interest could we have a bottle from our wine package. Well a few minutes later a bottle and bucket of ice was delivered to seats with chilled glasses. Excellent service.

WOW! You had it delivered to the show? Like to the Golden Mickeys? I didn't know that they would do this!!

I would suggest to try and figure out how many of bottles you will want over the week. 7 bottles was too many for us, so we ordered ala cart. We ended up picking 4 very nice bottles for less money than the cheapest package.

That is what we did, too!:goodvibes
