Wine & Dine Half Relay $$$

If I read this correctly from DIS, my family will need to buy tickets to see me cross the finish line.

ALL spectators are required to purchase a Finish Line Party Ticket in order to view the finish line of Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon and Half Marathon Relay. This is a specially ticketed event and requires a separate ticket. Annual Passes and Cast Member entrance are not valid for this special event.

This was taken from their website.

Is that correct?

Jim - Yes this is correct. The Finish line is going to be inside Epcot I believe so they will have to have a ticket to the party to see you Finish.

That could get a little pricey.

What does the party ticket cost?

In the past I think it was like $25-$30 - I think if I remember correctly from the TOT 13k party but that was in 2007

the question dh and I are having is the "food and wine" part - how late will this go on? Will it be anything like the Party for the Senses - IE in that tent area, with seats and food and drink? If so that was $100, but the price went up every year (that is a fancier party then I think this race after party will have- - its up to $135 per person for a 3 hour event, long lines for the "good" stuff, most wines were in the $10 price point the last time we went!) )

is definately tempting to go to an inaugral event, but I sure dont want to waste my time and money - racing till after midnight... and then getting to a party where there is little left for the back of the packers...

I know I was amazed after the half and esp after the full in Jan where some people had boxes of food -

I think I saw that it was 1 taste and 1 drink - not very much for the price but like you said for an inaugural event I want to be there. I am such a sucker for the inaugural events.

I agree with the 1 taste and 1 drink is included. This is what is also included in the spectator party ticket.

I just can't find the pricing of the spectator party ticket on their site.

The Finish line party is from 10:30 pm to 3 am.
So with the race starting at 10 and even if they don't do waves you are looking at a good amount of time to get to the start. The last finishers are likely to be done in the 1:30-2:00 am range.
Someone like myself will likely be done around 1 after all is said and done.

I figure it's the same price as the Half in January now and depending on your speed you can get some extra park time out of it. Not sure how much party time I will want after a half and that late, but anyway.

I'm completely guessing, but I wouldn't be surprised if they had a sip and drink on your bib like they did for RFTT.

Jim - I don't think they have released the price yet. Always on the Hush, Hush they are.

Should be open soon if their site is correct. By the 1st I thought I read.
