Wine & Dine Half & Relay - How Many?

So the waivers are available on the Endurance W&D web site, and the weekend program is up as well in pdf. I see in the relay specifics in the program that there are 1,400 relay teams (bibs 10,000 to 11,400) so 1,400 runners on each leg of the half course.

Does anyone have any idea the number of half marathon runners Saturday night? I'm running the 2nd leg of the relay so the field will be broken up by the time I get the baton outside the Animal Kingdom, but I'm curious about the number of runners we'll be running with or working our way through on the course.

Thank you Charles, I appreciate the information. The first few miles will be pretty tight with that number, so I'm doubly glad to be running the second leg.

This pair, DW and myself, are #11,163 and we are walkers so things should be really spread out by the time I start my 8.3. Walked a 8.3 at FW a couple weeks ago and was between 10:00/11:00 for each mile lap so I think I'll be fairly clear to go for it from my start.

Feel sorry about DW's start though.

I am not all that concerned.. We are on two lanes of a four lane road all the way to AK. The largest issue is the first corner just 2/3 mile into the race. Not sure how the course will be marked but the intersection has a paved right hand turn lane that may be open as part of the course. Hopefully it is fenced off and we run to the intersection keeping the course a full two lane at that point.
