I know that this has been mentioned a few times in the far past, but DH and I are nailing down some details.
My father, who has a large wine collection, wanted to give us one of his best bottles to take on our honeymoon cruise. It'll be a red, and one that may need decanting. I would like to bring it to semi-formal night to the regular dining room (we'd like to sample the Italian wines at Palo, on formal night), so I am wondering - how has anyone dealt with decanting their own wines? I absolutely want to and expect to pay the corkage fee, so it's not a matter of that. I just want to be able to let the wine decant and breath before dinner if it needs it. I don't mind bringing my own decanter, as we're driving to the port - just wondering about anyone else's experience.
