Wine Country Trattoria?

I guess I'm the lone wolf who hated WCT! We were there last October. The service was slow, the waiter was inept and the food was 'average' at best - we likened it to Olive Garden. The only good part was we were seated outside so the atmosphere was nice. But we would not return.

We tried it twice eight years ago and haven't been back since. I'm sure it could have changed a bunch since then, but we felt like we had already given it our two chances and just haven't been interested in revisiting. We found the food to be nothing special, and the service was even less special. I have since found the quality of Boardwalk Pasta and Pizza counter service in DCA to be better than what I remember from WCT.

We did not have a good experience. We thought the food was sub-par and the service was horrible. Also, DH's wine had turned. The patio was beautiful, we thought it was a shame that the actual dining experience was so bad.

How is the bird activity on the patio? I have a bird phobia and would not enjoy dinner with birds around my feet or flying near by.

Wine Country Trattoria is a lovely place to eat at - my wife and I ate there when we were at DCA back in January 2015; we are heading out to Anaheim again in October 2016 so are intending to eat there again at least one day. We had a lovely meal there - the punch is also good to drink as well :)

I have never eaten a full meal at WCT but last fall we went upstairs and ordered a couple of appetizers (fried risotto bites and the antipasto platter) and wine flights and really enjoyed everything!

It has become our favorite restaurant. My girls (17&18) want to go there every time. We like sitting outside for a 5pm seating so we can watch the parade go by.
The first time we went there, it was with the WoC package and where we were for that show was perfect!

We hated WCT but to be fair we have no patience for table service in the park. We go back to the hotel for a midday break and are most successful with getting food to eat in the room and rest or nap. At WCT we kept feeling the call 9f screamin right there! But we found it overall a generic Italian restaurant. Buy me a Mickey sourdough loaf instead!

Fritto Misto appetizer, Lasagne, Caprese Salad, and Chicken Salad.

We didn't have any issues with birds. :)

Ok, looking at that photo of the caprese salad...I thought they'd forgotten to put the basil in my salad. It looks as if they don't put basil in it ever. So that would be my main complaint. What's a Caprese Salad without Basil???

It's our favorite place to eat in DCA! My cousin and I eat there every time we go! I love the caprese salad and lasagna! She loves their minestrone!!!
