We try to make it a point to try all the food options in Disneyland, but so far there's been persistently not enough time for Wine Country Trattoria. It's trip planning time again, and it looks like once again WCT isn't making the cut, but I wanted to check here first.

Do you guys think this is a major oversight to not try the Trattoria, or is it more-or-less ok?

Skip it. I've never been impressed with the food there. It's mediocre at best, and overpriced.

I agree, not worth it, especially given the price.

Have you done the Alfresco Tasting Terrace in that same area? That's worth a stop, especially if you don't have kids and like wine.

We just enjoyed two meals here this trip. Portions are a bit small for the price, but tasty. We enjoyed the broccolini aglio olio the most, simple and tasty with a little kick. I wouldn't go out of your way to absolutely have to eat here, but if the opportunity presents itself, it's perfect.

I also agree. Your not missing out in much. I don't have the highest expectations of food or service really but In November when I dined here for WOC lunch it was slow, disorganized, boring food and expensive. I suppose people might dine there for the nice patio setting but I certainly wouldn't waste my time or money going back. Also, it was a hot day and they say us at a table without any shade even though they were nearly empty and had plenty of tables with shade. When we asked to move they gave us a hard time and made it very uncomfortable. There are plenty of other nice patio restaurants to dine at you should stick with

We haven't, we don't, and we do! We'll be sure to check it out, thanks!

Food was mediocre when we went in December 2013. But, even worse was the service. They wound up comping our meal! Won't go back.

They do wine flights and tastings -- the cool thing about it is that all the wines are from wineries that are somehow associated with Disney. For instance, they have Fess Parker, MacMurray (as in Fred), one of the wineries is associated with Walt's family (maybe a daughter?). Can't remember the rest. But the food is also good (mainly appetizer type stuff) and as implied, they have a terrace. :thumbsup2 And I don't know this for sure, but I would think based on their location that they would have a good view of the parade if you happen to be there at the right time.

I think they open at 4.

I love eating outside while on vacation and had planned to eat at Wine Country Trattoria for this reason, but will gladly skip it if there are better options for eating outside.
What other places offer an outdoor patio?

There are a lot, but in DCA, Alfresco Terrace as mentioned above. Flo's V8. Cove Bar. All outside with good views.

In DL -- Hungry Bear, the ones along Rivers of America, Carnation Café, Refreshment Corner are my favorites. Oh, and Rancho de Zocalo, especially in the evenings, and Big Thunder BBQ.

I guess everyone's taste really differ because I love it there!!! We always get the same thing and it is delicous (and we share)! We get the Wine Country Shrimp appetizer and the shrimp scampi pasta. We find the portion of the meal huge and easy to split between two people. The service is great and it's nice to sit outside and relax for a bit.

We eat there on every trip!!
