so let's talk food from wine country trattoria!

What are your likes and dislikes?

:cool1: :cheer2: :cool1::cheer2:

Before it closed and reopened, we loved the lasagna and one of the salads. We are going to go for lunch sometime in the next 3 weeks. Will give an update to the lunch menu and what we like now.

We leave tomorrow for our first DVC vacation! We eat there on Monday as part of the WOC plan. We were looking forward to it until we read another thread and the OP was very disappointed there. We'll see as we know everyone has different experiences. In all the years we have gone to DL and California Adventure we have never eaten there. I am sure it will be fine.

My family is wild for the lasagna rustica.

I love the lasagna at WCT! :cloud9: I haven't been there since they reopened but I see the lasagna is still on the menu and I'm hoping it's the same.

We ate there for the WoC and the halibut was good. My lamb was SO fatty. :scared: The tiramisu was delicious and the starter salad was nice. The kids loved their pasta but can you really mess up pasta? Overall our group of 11 enjoyed their meal. We had a table right in front of the parade route and saw the whole thing. It was awesome! :thumbsup2

ohh i heard the new menu was really good, but i was more hoping that we could focus on what was our favorite dish pre-closing/remodeling days.

like mine was the alfredo chicken lasagna.. mmm soo freakin good! :worship:

i would go bananas over it everytime i went, it was the one thing i had to have!:thumbsup2 but i love the atmosphere of the tratt, the outside free-flowing feeling with a bottle of prosecco chilling next you:cloud9:...ohh oohh sorry i was day dreaming! lol :lmao:

i'm wishing i think you will be fine! the tratt is not a bad place at all!

You want pre-closing/remodeling. I have photos from last year's Mother's Day. One of the few times I remembered to take photos of the food BEFORE we started eating.

Love that outdoor dining area. I don't know that we ever sat inside. It is about the only place that if my DH says "Let's sit outside" I don't even think to say no.

We have reservations at 5pm and hope to get a table to see the parade..do you have any tips... did you show up early to request a table or wait for a table.. what did you do to get the parade view? At this point, I'm thinking maybe we should just cancel and do the picnic basket and then I remind myself of the parade. So the parade is the only thing holding me and I'll be so disappointed to not have a view. :)

I love the lasagne & the breadsticks (my weakness), my dislike last year (not foodwise) was this "jerk" guy & his young son. He was yelling at the waitperson for not waiting on him fast enough. Nice example to show his son. Anywho, I haven't had anything bad so far from it, everything looks pretty good on the menu!

We also saw Hallie Berry. :rotfl2: As far as tips, I don't have any. They just asked upstairs or downstairs and we said downstairs. We were a party of 11. The kids sat on the wall and watched the whole thing. Our ressies were for 5:30 which was perfect. Maybe show up a little early and ask for a seat near the parade wll when you get there. Good luck! pixiedust:

FWIW, the dining was totally worth it for the WoC. Our entire party thought this especially if you go for the first WoC show. They have a really fun crowd involved entertainment. We were in the prefered section right against the railing and had prime spots. Even DH, who wasn't thrilled about spending that much for dinner, said it was worth it.

wow, WOC viewing via TRatt still goes strong. yeah i don't know how to answer your question either i have not even seen it yet!! but tomorrow i am eating at the tratt with the new menu i ham soo freakin excited!!

this is the veggie panini from the new menu at the tratt! :thumbsup2 it was sooo yummy! and just the right amount of food!! :)

Well I'm in the minority and am well aware of it but we didn't like the food when we ate at WCT at all. That was quite a while ago tho so if we were still going I would absolutely try the new menu. :)

i was surprised the new menu was good.. i wanted one of everything. and at dinner time the menu changes .. so it's not really the same stuff at dinner and lunch!
