I won't have a car when I'm there in a couple of weeks. Is there a place nearby where I can buy a bottle of wine or beer to take back to my hotel. Staying at La Quinta on S. Clementine St.

You can buy alcohol almost anywhere. Drug stores, 7-11 and souvenir stores sell it. We actually bought decent beer at the shop at Tropicana a year ago, and they also have wine. We're beer snobs and won't buy coors/bud/miller etc.

Ha! I love this sooooo much! We are Canadian beer snobs (so even worse maybe? Not saying Canadian beer is better...... or am I?.....) but we are staying at the Tropicana in July so I'm happy to hear they have a decent selection! We love a cold brew in the afternoons or in the evening after a day chasing after kids in the parks.

The CVS on corner of Katella and S Harbor has a decent selection of beer. It wouldn’t be too far out of your way on the way back from the park.

Even when I don't have a car I just have the Lyft driver stop at the Wine Exchange on the 55 near the Warner overpass. Right on the way from the SNA airport. They have one of the best selections of fine wines of any store in the United States.

I'm also Canadian (Toronto), though not a beer snob, but I do enjoy a nice red wine. Was considering bringing some duty free, but I just don't find the duty free at Toronto airport to be much of a deal.

Thanks all for the replies.

In California, all alcohol can be sold by just about any retailer. So, you can run into a grocery store, Target, 7-11, etc. and buy beer, wine or even a bottle of bourbon or tequila if desired. Selection generally depends on what sells locally.

Different types and labels of wine are available to buy at the CVS on the junction of S Harbor and Katella, also the 7-11 closest to the GardenWalk has a decent selection too.

We are wine rather than beer drinkers. It does seem easier to buy alcohol in Anaheim than in New York though, but that might be down to the historic Prohibition laws.
