Hello!! We will be checking into BWV in 16 days :cool1: I am planning on using Garder Grocer and have used them for food/wine before but I'm not thrilled about faxing them my license. does the Hess outside of BWV have wine and beer for sale at comprable costs?

Thanks!
Lori

They definately have beer and it is fairly priced imo, but I am uncertain about their wine selection (if any).

I have used garden grocer before... and they are very reputable. I would not be concerned sending them a photo copy of your license. If it really makes you uneasy... ask them if you can cross out the license number.... they are just interested in verifying your personal information ...date of birth.

we've also walked over and bought beer - but then I found that I could walk over to EPCOT and buy my wine!! (For example Rosa Regale Champagne - it was $19 in Italy and that is the same price I pay at our local wine/liquour store! which got me to looking at prices - and I have bought wines under $10 in Germany and Italy ever since!! (the cm's will deliver it to the IG or you can take it with you - Italy has a nice box they put it in wrapped up as well!)

So I'm sure they do sell some wines - but I just cant picture it in my head....

bump...anyone know if they have any wine??

thanks Lori

they had some local wines - but it might only have been temporary - it was near the front in one of those stands.

yes if it sells they will do it again.

always get cokes here - the prices are very nice.

Last April, 2008, they did not have any wine. We were looking for the "box" wine (yeah, I'm cheap). They had none, no coolers, no bottled wine. Plenty of beer! Great prices though, at least relative to the Disney stores on the boardwalk.

If you are not comfortable with sending a copy of your licenses, have you tried using WEGOSHOP? We always use them and have never had to fax over our licenses.

woohooo..thanks for the great idea:thumbsup2 *slapping head as in a v-8 commercial*:rotfl2: I would have never thought of that...and I'm sure as i sit on my balcony with our first ever BW view the wine from epcot will taste even better then from HESS....lol..I am not too fussy as long as it's pinoet grigio..box o wine is not below me!!

You are so right! We love sitting on our BCV balcony enjoying a glass of wine from Epcot. Have fun!

In a pinch, I have also bought a bottle of Pinot Grigio from the store on the BW. A bit overpriced, but cheaper then buying it by the glass at the lounge:thumbsup2

Another vote for using wegoshop rather than Garden Grocer. We have ordered beer and wine from wegoshop 5 times now and we have never had to fax a copy of our licenses. We do, however, schedule the delivery for when we will be in our Villa. I don't think they can deliver alcohol to Bell Services in this scenario.
