Wine bars in WS?

I've read there's a saki bar in the store in the Japan pavilion. And I know that they sell wine in (I think) the France and Italy pavilions. Do those pavilions also have a spot where one can hang out and have a glass of wine?

I'm going during F&W fest but I find the wine pours at the booths to be too expensive for how small they are. And it'll be hot as blazes so I'd love a spot to get out of the heat and enjoy a glass (or two) of wine.

Thanks!

Only true wine bar is Tutto Gusto in Italy. France has indoor seating next to the bakery, but it's always jam packed.

Thanks Doug. Is Tutto Gusto an ADR kind of place? It's funny I go every year but have no knowledge of this place.

It's very much La Cava del Tequila. No ADR's, but they still have waiters. I think a lot of people miss it because it's just a door with an awning over it that says "wine cellar".

I would like a place that others miss. The one time I tried La Cava it was mobbed!

France has wine tasting in their wine shop and you can get a glass of wine there, you could then go to the little tables outside the ice cream place to sit and drink it if you want. We always do the tasting. Italy has the wine bar and also has wine tasting in their wine shop. They also have little tables outside the shop you can sit at. Germany has tastings in their wine shop, they have standing tables set up inside the shop. They also have cheese plates if you want. Japan has the sake tasting, nowhere to really sit inside the shop but you could always wander back to the tables outside the quick service. They also have a little place in front of the quick service you can get wine. GB has the pub with a bar area, we always get beer there but since it's a full bar, I'm sure you could get a glass of wine. Norway, they have a little bakery but I don't remember any wine there. China has a QS location and a little cart right outside, not sure about wine there but if they have it, their gardens have great little benches to sit on. Mexico is all about LaCava, you can get a margerita to go at the bar (usually a real long line) but if you hold your mouth right and get there at the right time and know who to bribe, you can get a table inside to sit and relax. Canada has a beer cart.

Thanks for all those details. I'm making notes!

Your welcome, we do wine tastings every trip. There is a wine walk you can buy but you can't pick your wines for it and we've found the pours are a little better with just doing the tastings at each country.

DH and I both enjoy wine. We do love Tutto Gusto. No ADR's, we just show up at the podium and have never had a problem getting a seat. (though we have noticed it fills up quick during pop up monsoons!!)

We haven't done the wine walk since we both only drink reds, not whites, and the wine walk doesn't give an option of one or the other. It's whatever each country is offering. We have gotten sangria at Morocco, and wine at France, and found a shady place to sit and enjoy it. Actually, if the British Revolution is playing at the UK pavilion, that is a great spot to sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the show.

The Germany pavilion, if you like white wine, has white wines but also an amazing cheese plate for $5! They have high top tables available indoors, where you could enjoy a glass of wine and the cheese plate.

DH and I love Tutto Gusto, they have a few different wine flights (I usually do the bubbly one) in addition to wines by the glass/bottle, beers etc. as well as some different small plate type foods that we have always really enjoyed. I used to love La Cava, but it is so difficult to enjoy now that it has become so popular, so I much prefer Tutto Gusto these days.

Another vote for Tutto Gusto, went there three separate times last month. I'd also recommend Winekeller and the cheese plate, although it's not really a dedicated wine bar, more of a wine store with a pour selection and cheese plate option.

What is the wine walk? Is it a formal thing or just what you want to do?

You get two pours at France, Italy and Germany, the wines are already selected for you, I can't remember how much it is. We prefer to just get wine flights in each country since you get 3 pours and can decide which wines you want in those pours. I get the white flights, my son gets the red and we share them so we are only getting a few sips from each pour, saves you from getting totally blotto. http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2017/...wine-walk-now-includes-refillable-wine-glass/
