Wine and Dine 2015

Hoping you made it to Morimoto!! We had dinner there tonight and it was amazeballs.

We sort of did - 20 min late and the girl said we give 15 min leeway. The lounge is open. Sooo we did that. I was disappointed but the late night menu wasn't too bad. Yum!

In other news, holy RD expo batman. Got to merch at 10:15. Got one of 2 size S tanks left. Jackets and hoodies almost gone. Wine glasses holding strong. They are bringing out tshirts, but that's all I see so far.

Haven't seen the magic bands, but my advice to everyone is to do most of your shopping at the little store by packet pick up. From what I saw mostly the same stuff at both, only the I did it and a few other things are at the Jostens. If you aren't by yourself, I would split up. The line here at Jostens wraps around the store in several switchbacks....

ETA: yes to the magic bands not many left though.

11 am standing in a line that resembles the 7DMT line. Didn't want to wait on them to restock wine and dine shirts. So been standing 30+min for a water bottle, wine glass and car magnet.

Wow! Never knew they were that rigid on the 15 minute window. I guess they give no-show tables away at 16 minutes.

Actually it was nearly empty! I guess the kitchen stops the full menu at 11. We would have ordered by then just fine since we knew what we wanted. But figured why push it. The lounge was still good though, and open until nearly 2am.

Regretting buying a pin! I could have just bought it in the merch area but I registered for this before I'd been to Tink and didn't know they'd be available there.

I spent way you too much at jostens and now I am lugging this bag through the insane commemorative item line for my pin.

You guys are making me happy I'm at BOG and not at the crazyness of the expo. Though I'm headed there next!

I saw that nasty commemorative item line, eep! So glad they opened it at 930. Now I'm chilling at Jock Lindsey's.

Well it wasn't so bad at Jostens earlier. They opened it up at 9:30 and I did have to wait to pay for 10 min or so but this commemorative line is by far the worst. I don't know why they didn't have the pins at the bib pickup. There was a spot to initial for it.

Got out of the official merchandise zoo which needed a fast pass now headed for some pool time. I decided to add out park time after race. I just tend to stay to long on my feet. That merch line did a number on my foot so wasn't expecting that!!!

I bailed on my second trip thru a merch line (for the I did it shirt). I had already waited for 30+ min in line at the one new packet pick up and the I did it shirt was really all that was different. And apparently magic bands which I didn't know about and would probably have bought. But I did get my wine glass and pint glass (smaller than a pint tho to be specific) and magnet so I'm happy. I really wish they had the I did it shirts at the first booth. I was also going to buy a friend a run Disney shirt for Christmas at that second stop but when I bailed I found something even better for her at a different booth. Super cute- I live for pumpkin spice lattes and running.

I got I the expo around 10:20 and packet pickup went smoothly. Even got to exchange my shirt for a better size which usually doesn't happen for me at any races ever.

But yeah, I have a headache from all the people and music and crowds. Trying to decide if taking one Aleve now will be too terrible.

What booth was that shirt at that you got your friend??

There were NO "I Did It" shirts at the merch corral in the packet pickup area. Finally saw them in Jostens when I doubled-back to track down another rD MagicBand.

I got two things I wanted (Wine & Dine hat and Medal pin) and was surprised for the third (Coast-to-Coast hat!).

I wouldn't, try pinching the tendon between your thumb and first finger. It's a pressure point that can relieve headaches. Read the med warning in the back of the program, before otc meds.

Umm that expo was crazy!! Got there at 9:30 and it was already a zoo. Nabbed the last size S tank, then stood in the crazy line to pick up my pin. Glad that is over with!

I'm about to head over to the expo!!
