Wine and Dine 2015

Ok folks! I have officially finished up all of my work at work that needed to be done before the weekend! I'm only going to be gone 2 days but it seems like such a big deal I guess because I've been preparing for this for months and months.... and months!

I checked into my flight and I suppose I could go check into my hotel too if I wanted! Did my last run last night - the hay is definitely in the barn. Tonight I plan to finish packing and generally try to avoid getting hurt, sick, or being up all night because I'm TOO EXCITED TO SLEEP!!!!:jumping1:

All these dogs are conspiring against us!

Hanging at the airport. Asked the woman at check-in if we could switch to a direct flight, and she actually said yes. Getting in early evening now, enough time to hit a park for a little bit.

The dogs are in cahoots! My SO is not coming now so he can stay home and take care of our dog, who is just getting old and difficult to handle so we feel bad leaving him with the in-laws.

I just got us bumped up to an earlier flight tomorrow, so a few extra hours in Florida for us!!! Only a couple more hours of work and I'm officially on vacation!!!

Yay for earlier flights! And I am right there with you, just trying to pass the next couple of hours and get off work! :)

Ill join the waiting at the airport club. I've been ready to go all day. For some reason it still doesn't feel real. I am so very excited though.

We don't leave till Friday morning and I have been slammed out of nowhere today work wise. And I still have to finish DH's costume. Probably shouldn't have procrastinated on that one!
Plus, my dad arrived today to watch the kids so he wants to catch up and chat and figure out the routine and I'm just trying to get through my work and still be sociable. Bring on vacation!

Well looks like the puppy is okay and just got into something he shouldn't have. He had his trial run at the boarding facility today so has spent most of the day there. We dropped him our for our free day of day care at noon and it is now 5pm and we haven't heard anything from the daycare. Our other dog was there for grooming and when she got picked up they gave an update saying the puppy was good but a little shy but that was to be expected.

TMI: If it makes you feel any better, I was suddenly hit with GI issues the day of last year's race and by the time the race actually rolled around I was okay. :) Hope you feel better!

I'm hoping I feel better in time. Now I'm really nervous. I've been losing liquid out both ends since 7:30 this morning and have been swinging between feeling so cold I'm shivering and being so hot Im sweating; overall I just feel crazy weak bs achey. Any advice for pre-race fueling on a compromised stomach? And would you risk eating the food and wine festival offerings post race?
Thanks for the well wishes!

I would play food and wine by ear let's just get you to the race and through it. First off make sure you are replacing the electrolytes you are loosing. We use pedialyte even as an adult. Yes it has sugar but it has a ton of other good things. Start slow with reintroducing food. Take small sips of the pedialyte every 15/20 minutes. When you can hold that down start to up the amount each time. Once you can drink a regular cup and not throw up you should be good to try solids. At that point start with bland things. Rice, bread, and apple sauce was the go to for me. After those 3 had settled and didn't come up I added baked chicken breast the next meal. You can also do oatmeal for breakfast.

I just finished packing my change of clothes for after work (leaving the office and driving straight to the airport) and my carry on with the running gear. Need to split the food items between two checked suitcases (just so that if one is lost or misplaced....) and then those will be zipped and put in the trunk. Last is to make sure my carry on backpack is ready to go and then I'm done. Just throw my hair brush in tomorrow morning and off to work. mentally, it's officially vacation ;)

Pup passed his first day of day care so he'll be off to boarding tomorrow for the weekend. I'll be a nervous wreck because I've never boarded a dog before but I think he'll be fine. He's basically getting his own Disney vacation for the cost we are paying haha.

For those that are there have fun. For those that are traveling in the next day or 2 safe travels. I have 2 days of work and will be driving up early Saturday morning.

National Weather Service has dropped percent chance of rain Saturday night! Now around 13% when you look at their weather graph.

Tonight's temps should be fairly close to Saturday's. The rain we get, will most likely be of the pop-up variety. It could be raining in Magic Kingdom but dry as a bone at EPCOT. I would expect most of the rain, if we get any, to be done by 9:00 pm.

Hey Wine & Diners! Since most of you are already there or getting ready to head out, I wanted to stop by and wish everyone a great race! I hope you all have run well, stay safe, healthy, and well hydrated, and most of all ... have a ton of fun!

I'll be rooting for everyone while sitting on my lazy butt on the couch. I can't wait to hear how everyone's race goes!

Pre rain it felt horrible today. After it chilled a bit, but spiked back. Very pleasant right now though, I defiantly can run in this. Going to do a couple miles around CSR tomorrow morning since my last run was 40 degrees.
