Just checking in and catching up... I was having trouble getting motivated to do my runs, but have been consistantly doing them as scheduled (another Galloway user)... that is until I fell 12 days ago. I was rushing into the shower after a good workout and slipped. It was an ugly fall, my lower back and tailbone taking the brunt of the fall right on the metal track for the glass doors. It was painful, but I was more concerned about how this could interfer with my training. I seemed to be 'okay' but felt a little outta whack, so I saw my chiropractor. He reconfirmed I needed an adjustment, but thought I'd be okay to run but he wanted to see me back after one of my sort runs. I did so as planned, and everything looked great and I was having no issues. Fast forward to Saturdays run, 9.5 miles. The first 8 miles felt great, life was good... Then it hit me, I suddenly couldn't put any weight on my right foot. And I was 2 miles from my car. It was the foot I slipped on, I didnt think there was any real issue with it, it was a little tender when I fell but nothing serious. The weird thing is, I could jog but not walk on it... I tenderly jogged back to my car and when I finally sat down, I realized the spot in my lower back thatI fell on is unbearbly painful. So here I am 36 hours later, stressed and worried what this means for my training and the upcoming event. Right now I'm taking it easy until I my doctor appt tomorrow morning. Praying for good news and a quick recovery.
